The Walking Dead's been pretty good with having people of color in major roles. Michonne, Tyrese, Sasha, Glenn, and — until recently — Bob made up a good chunk of the major cast. It looks like they've most past the idea that there can only be one black guy on the show at a time.

The idea that "these cops are allowed to rape the orderlies so they remain loyal" bit is creepy enough, but I think something was definitely lost because Noah and Beth appeared to be the only two orderlies. For such a "massive" hospital, there really didn't seem to be a whole lot of people there.

According to the video, the destroyed settlement is a reference to The Thing. Personally, I think a better fit for the scenario is Troll Hunter (which, yes, is Norwegian).

Aside from her (and Daryl), every other character seems to be fighting hard to retain the same characteristics he or she had before the zombies. While I see that it's important to retain your humanity, it's also boring from a storyline perspective. For just one of the other characters to change even a little would add…

I am surprised at how quickly they burned through the cannibals. Cannibals with a secret room filled with treasure laying on the floor and mottos painted on the walls should at least be a little interesting and worth exploring.

I think you have a point on this, but I can't fit every "non-human" character into a category. Some fit great, some don't.
