My local "modern rock" radio station folded a few months ago, but when it was active, it played almost entirely mid-90s/early-00s super-popular alternative rock music. There were only one or two "new" tracks added every year, and most of those "new" tracks were from groups that had their biggest influence in that time

Sebadoh's "Gimme Indie Rock" is missing? It mentions Husker Du, Sonic Youth, and Dinosaur Jr.

After Star Trek ended, Walter Koening became an actor!

Based upon the trip to Mexico, we know Gus isn't above using poison to get what he wants.

And even though there's still a full season left, I half-expected Jesse to actually shoot Walt. That's great dramatic tension.

The only "suspension of disbelief" that really bugged was the huge glob of amber right down the street from M-2's house. I know M-1 was drugged and placed in the house, but I imagine there's always the chance of him looking out the window.

I first heard Wilco described as "The American Radiohead" in a Chuck Klosterman profile of Jeff Tweedy. The article was from 2004, just after "A Ghost is Born" was released. I don't think the comparison is that one band is necessarily *better* than the other, but that both bands reached a point where they released a

G'n'R is an obvious choice to make it in. I imagine the Beasties, RHCP, and Donovan will probably make it in as well.

The Sopranos used do to that trick a lot too. Now I'm keyed into watching for oranges (or orange juice) as a sign of a character dying.

Exactly. This episode seemed like it set up a lot more plot lines than really explored anything. I think the idea of Jeff turning into Pierce was hammered home pretty hard last season and I'd like for the show to try something new.

No, it's like a "UHF" station (WUAB in Cleveland, OH for those interested). During the evening, they play old movies and reruns of Burn Notice and Law and Order. At night, it's like a grab-bag of Seinfeld, HIMYM, and Family Guy reruns. I was flipping past it last night and came across "Underage Drinking: A National

Unrelated, but does anyone else get Sunny in syndication? My local station just started airing reruns every night at 11:30. I would have thought Sunny making syndication would have gotten some major press or something.

No, no…Whitney will probably last until mid-season.

"The Talking Dead?" Either that's the best or worst name they could have come up with.

Beth Behrs' character is on the run after killing Rosie Larson.

There is no way to describe how much joy I first felt when I saw "Batboy and Rubin" for the first.time. I have a reprint of that issue of MAD, so I knew the beats to the story, but I was delighted that the show followed through on every aspect of the parody.

I would include "Warrior of the Lost World" to this list. It's a sorta-ripoff of The Road Warrior featuring Donald Pleasance, an annoying chirpy computer, MegaWeapon!, and a plot so stupid because they needed to reuse the set.

I've always preferred Mike's speedier delivery than Joel's more lackadaisical approach. In those early season 2 episodes, it seems like an eternity between Joel's jokes.

It was also on the Sci-Fi Channel Sunday mornings. Those were the first episodes I could watch "live," since our cable provider didn't carry Comedy Central when MST3K was on.

So, will it be the Crispus Allen or Jim Corrigan version of the Spectre? And, if it's the Crispus Allen version, will this be a backdoor pilot for a Gotham Central tv series?
