Why would Objectivists have a problem with ATLA and LOK?  The Avatar is recognized as an Ubermensch to whom the laws do not apply.  And the person attempt to forcibly bring equality to everyone is an unconditional antagonist. It's not quite "The Incredibles" but it's still an Objectivist's wet dream.

The Independents weren't what the South was, they legitimately were what the South now claims it was.  It's kinda hard to convey the nuances of what I'm saying in text, so I'm

Well, the point is that the Browncoats were actually fighting for States' Rights, not their right as states to continue slavery like the Confederates really were.  It's not a parallel to the Civil War.  It's a parallel to the Southern Apologists' view of the Civil War.

I think what Jim is referring to is that the Browncoats, who are portrayed as the protagonists throughout, were complete libertarians struggling against the overwhelming federal government of the Alliance

@LurkyMcLurkerson:disqus Women not only use it, a woman invented it to make fun of bad writing.
And I don't read fanfiction so the character I have most often seen referred to as a Mary Sue is Eragon, who is neither female nor written by a female.
