Well, I'm well aware that Huell didn't bump Jesse to the front of the line because of the pack of the cigarettes, but rather the pot.  However, I respected Donna's thematic analysis not to call her out on that part.  Put your irony call on hold.

For your sake, I hope so.

@avclub-9e670ec7c7f903af7dcb7a71086e980d:disqus Now THAT is an accurate analysis.

"Huell reluctantly bumps Jesse up to the front of Saul’s queue when he
sees the pack of cigarettes from which he lifted the ricin."

" He’s there to retrieve the ricin cigarette"

@avclub-e719c8f4fac12d3f9eb308b0e2bfcf5a:disqus Simply put…no.  Ontario drivers license, Ontario license plates, Canadian money.  Pay the hell attention.  Obviously meant to be Toronto, and it's really not up for debate.

Agreed.  Not liking The Fly should disqualify you from watching the final 8 episodes.  Jackass extraordinaire.

You seem like a pretty terrible person.

In like Flint?  This some kind of weird comparison of the dying American automobile industry to the dying vampire industry?

@avclub-aa8199204bbd84f584fe5957410e9e71:disqus  —- That's the Comment of The Year, my friend.

Hobbs Act was definitely what I had in mind.  I'd have to find the case, but there was a actually a distinction made in a recent case (I *think* it was in Kansas City) where armed robbers robbed a payday loan store, and it was deemed to be interfering with interstate commerce.  The court oddly added convenience stores

Very, very little discussion of Morello in the comments.  Quite an interesting character, and I assume we will get more of her back story in Season 2.  She must have committed some pretty serious EBay fraud to get locked up for it.

FDIC-insured doesn't matter for purposes of the federal statute, if they offer "payday loans" as opposed to simply check-cashing.

Exactly.  The Amazon was thing was just writing, no way Amazon paid for that.

The mute woman was a nun?  When was that established?

Watson committed armed robbery of a financial institution —- a seedy payday loan store, but still a financial institution by the federal statute's definition.

Wouldn't have mattered whether it was across state lines or not…abortion clinic workers are protected by federal statutes.

@olivececile:disqus Watson committed armed robbery of a financial institution (even though it was a seedy payday loan store, it still qualifies), and most definitely committed a federal crime.  We have no idea what Nicky eventually did to get incarcerated, but would assume it's drug-related, and could certainly be

I noticed that too, and in all likelihood it's just Jenji Kohan not knowing what the hell she's talking about.

Agreed on Weeds, Season 6.  Insanely underrated.  Seasons 7 & 8 were hot garbage though, other than a couple of stray season 8 eps.
