As someone who thought Shields was a pretty weak rehash of the most accessible songs on Veckatimest I'm absolutely thrilled by the new album, it's an absolute peach and I can't wait to see it performed live.
It was the last of his albums I truly loved. Seachange is ok, but everything after that has been what a straight forward indie band would sound like if they were trying to rip off Beck (if that makes any sense). Nicotine and Gravy and Debora are the absolute highlights.
