I guess I'm kind of able to accept the nonsensical behavior more based on him being in shock rather than anything else.

Yeah, definitely. Noticed the gate didn't really slam completely shut there, plus a cat showing up at the end of the episode maybe indicates that that moment was important. Or, maybe the cat killed her.

Shoutout to d.p. Robert Elswit. Loved seeing his name attached to this project, and the lighting/camerawork played a big part in establishing the mood throughout this episode. Really felt like everything was constantly closing in on Naz as he dug himself deeper and deeper.

DEADWOOD "True Colors" Review (3x03)
“You seem incapable of crediting me as a full and normal person,” Alma accuses Doc Cochran after he urges her to take her meds and to not rush back into things. “I credit you as exactly that, Madam, which is to say as having limits like the rest of us,” Doc responds, and it’s an

Deadwood "I Am Not the Fine Man You Take Me For" Review (3x02)
“Change ain’t lookin’ for friends. Change calls the tune we dance to.”

My last Deadwood review was written about a year ago, and this hiatus has been about 11 months longer than intended. However, with the recent demise of TV Club Classic and a bit more free time and seeing Ian McShane in GOT, I was motivated to start the show again. I'll try to finish these up this summer and start

Jesus fucking christ The Neon Demon those last 20 minutes hahahhahahahhahahahahahaa

Just dropped by to say that I love Ramin Djawadi and he should score my funeral.

Anyone know if Teti is still doing Six Feet Under reviews? It's been a while since the last one, but if he is, once those finish, I'd imagine that's probably the official end of TV Club Classic. :/

:/

American Crime is a well made show, but yeah, there really isn't much worth watching on network TV. When we take over NBC and revive Hannibal though at least we'll have that.

"It might sound a bit pathetic and silly and naive, but that's what PoI did for me."

And Shaw's reaction to that arrow line. It's getting dusty in here.

Amazing moment, and wonderfully played by Caviezel. The rest of the cast typically gets more standout moments than he does, but he's been great throughout the series. He's played his role perfectly.

LaToya, thank you for covering these last few episodes. Thank you to Alexa and good 'ol Phil Dyess-Nugent as well for their reviews, and thank you to all the people who have commented over the years. It's been fun watching the comment sections for this show grow, and I've enjoyed reading all of your thoughts.

This could certainly be a bleak show at times, but what I loved about it was its clear appreciation of humanity in all its flaws. It understood that there are shitty people and shitty situations and that power can corrupt, but it also emphasized the capacity we have for creation and connection. And so when The Machine

NOW YOU SEE ME 2: Glad I didn't have to pay for this because this movie can go fuck itself. No redeemable aspects whatsoever (no, not even Lizzy Caplan). An utter failure on every level and an abhorrent attempt at filmmaking. I wanted to shove their stupid playing cards down all those characters' stupid fucking

NOW YOU SEE ME 2
I usually try to maintain a bit of professionalism in my reviews, but some movies are so goddamn awful that they don’t deserve anything but derision and hatred. Now You See Me 2–the worst of the movie’s possible titles–is one of those movies. I hate this not only because it’s a steaming pile of shit,

Brought a tear to my eye seeing this again. Beautiful, just beautiful. This is what I wanted to see, and you did not let me down.
