Veronica Mars Season 3…
Episode 13: “Postgame Mortem”

That was an amazing finale. There were so many beautiful little moments that came together to create this masterful hour of television…the adorable fritter standoff, catch on the beach, Daniel in the water, Daniel at the prison (gorgeous shot), Teddy and Amantha playing cards, the Daniel-Janet dance being cut off,

Veronica Mars Season 3…
Episode 9: “Spit & Eggs”
I don’t think there is one wasted moment in season one of this show, and that’s made even more impressive by the fact that its mystery spans 22 episodes. Season two drags a bit with the bus crash, though, and as nicely as the storyline is tied up, it’s clear that it could

Veronica Mars Season 3….
EPISODE 5: “President Evil”

The Shield was amazing, but it also taught us that Kurt Sutter is only tolerable when he has other people to rein him in. Letting him do whatever he wants is never any good (e.g. FX already giving him two hours for the premiere). Also, Matthew Rhys is apparently a recurring character, and that will undoubtedly be

That Colbert-Stewart moment was perfect: the entrance, the Lord of the Rings metaphor, Colbert going on as Stewart couldn't maintain eye contact, the endearing battle for chair position around the desk…just a genuine, funny, and heartwarming moment for the two of them. And everything Colbert said there at the end was

J. Smith Cameron was phenomenal in this. That kitchen scene was beautiful all around, as was the final sequence at the pool. Rectify oftentimes focuses on pairings, but seeing the family sitting around the pool having a good time was a really nice moment. This show truly can be one of the more optimistic ones on TV,

Veronica Mars Season 3, Episodes 1-4 Review
EPISODE 1: “WELCOME WAGON”

She even got to call Will "Manhunter"!

Anyone else notice the bus stop dentist ad with the open mouth on it? That was hilarious.

Also, Paul Rudd's facial expressions, most notably the ones right before "She wants me".

The final few scenes were really beautiful and poignant and everything, but I also couldn't help but laugh at it. Oh, Hannibal.

The pig surrogate was one of the most disturbing images the show has produced, and they accomplished that without any blood. Plus, a huge part of that was Katharine Isabelle, who was fantastic in that scene.

The centerpiece of this episode was definitely Clayne Crawford's amazing final scene, but I also really loved the Melvin-Daniel interactions. The fact that this show can turn something like a laundry discussion into something compelling and affecting continues to impress me, and like Brandon mentioned above, there was

I'd give Holly Taylor a nomination. Paige was essential to the show this year, and Taylor did such a good job with the character.

Fuck Ray Donovan for stealing Ian McShane.

I know there are a ton of stupid nominations and snubs this year—like every year—but I think this is the best the comedy series category has been in a long, long time. Sure, there's Modern Family still polluting the category, but the other shows are legitimately great. And no BBT or Showtime comedies (at least not

And Aya Cash! She was so awesome in You're the Worst, and I'm really excited for the new season.

And not just Aden Young. I'd definitely feel comfortable putting most of that cast into the supporting actor/actress nominations, and definitely over actors from American Horror Story and House of Cards and Downton Abbey, plus Emilia Clarke. Not surprising Rectify was snubbed, but still disappointing. That, Banshee,
