Michael Kenneth Williams and Michael Shannon were absolutely perfect. The way Shannon conveyed the explosion of all his frustrations was heartbreaking and cathartic and even a bit humorous, and I loved that he was able to go out as van Alden.

Just finished Veronica Mars season one. "A Trip to the Dentist" and "Leave it to Beaver" was the best one-two punch I've seen since The Shield.

I knew I should've picked Sunday Night Football instead!

Battlestar Galactica "The Woman King" Review (3x14)

Since Ruby's stealing things now, it looks like she really learned from her mom, aka Marie Schrader.

Coach calling Nick a "Depression-era garbageman", followed by Nick's reaction, is one of my favorite moments of the show now.

Baby: Hey, this is actually a pretty good life. Carrie's sister is a great…

"You still got the beard."

I wish Nick screwed up during the interview so that he could be pelted with gummi bears from offstage.

The idea of structuring much of the movie around the one news show essentially means structuring the movie around blanket statements like "what is it about a child that makes men…" or

The atmosphere created by this movie was just a blast to be caught up in. That was due to the soundtrack, due to Fincher's directing, and due to the acting. Everything was top notch.

Yeah, I got that satire element as well, especially considering they constantly focused on that one show and the media in general and used it as a bouncing off point for many elements of the film. The news stations are always outside of the house, the TV interview leads to Amy returning home, and Tanner says at the

"It took me to the woodshed" was one of my favorite lines of the film.

One of the marks of her brilliance in this is that even her narration gave me chills. I'm not usually a fan of that, mostly because it's often overdone, but she nailed every second here; the way her character transformed throughout was incredible and a testament to the range Pike has. That monologue in the middle made

Several questions from the Sepinwall interview:

I thought this season was great, not only because it rid itself of David Tate, but also because that allowed the show to explore the world that these characters live in, the corrupt system that they're all a part of and how that influences their own journeys. Essentially, this season brought us more of what we
