Yeah, PDN's POI reviews are pretty good, and I've seen very few complaints there. I think he's generally fine (I watch(ed) Raising Hope, POI, Nikita, Banshee, and Treme, all his), but when he writes a bad review, he really goes all out with it, so the lows stand out for him.

Well, that's one thing I have in common with the Winter Olympics.

FNL Season 1, Episodes 8-10
EPISODE 8, CROSSING THE LINE

Oh, okay, thanks. I don't remember what was going on, really. I just know it was funny.

This episode had its fair share of intense, badass scenes—the diner, Alan Tudyk pulling out the fucking shotgun and shooting up the warehouse—but I think the most impressive was that last one in the office where they celebrated Art's success. Not only was it so satisfying seeing them just have some fun, but it also

Man, Art vs. Alan Tudyk was absolutely brilliant. And then we got that diner scene, where they added Wynn Duffy and co. sitting off to the side with some grapefruit juice. Even better.

"I'm going to give you ten seconds to leave, and then, I'm going to shoot you."

"No, I never considered that."
"Well, you dumbass, you might want to consider it."

After she was all "When I get out, our life is going to be perfect", I was yelling at her to stop. Because those speeches never turn out well.

THIS WAS JUST SHOWDOWN AFTER SHOWDOWN BETWEEN AMAZING ACTORS. The tension was off the roof, and I fucking loved it.

"This is the scariest one yet. It's just a bunch of smiley faces."

I love how they're using Winston now. He's still hilarious, but he finally has more interactions with the rest of the cast and plot; also, Lamorne Morris continues to be fantastic. That evil smile he had after Schmidt told him to continue doing what he was doing. Comedy gold.

"I think a guy in my building died because one day in the dumpster there were a bunch of clothes that just fit me."

Right. I mean, I knew I'd like Coach, Mrs. Coach, and Matt right off the bat, but man, was I surprised at how well-developed each character in the cast was. I also wasn't really down on Lyla, as a lot of people were.

Oh yes, I felt the same way. I was afraid about that all the time, especially given how much it would crush Matt. If the show really wanted to twist the knife, they would've done it right after he decided to pass up college (of course, I haven't finished the series yet, so I'm not sure how her storyline will turn out).

Nice catch.

Other stuff
-Okay, maybe not. But still, that final scene in the third episode is amazing.

Friday Night Lights-Season 1, Episodes 3-7
A loss in Dillon is the worst thing that's ever happened to mankind, isn't it? After the Panthers drop the second game of the season, people have the audacity to insult a teenage girl due to the fact that her father ruined their livelihoods or something? There's a sense of

Also, here's another gem of a conversation from this episode that's The Following in a nutshell.

"Who uses metric?"
"Every country on the planet except for us, Liberia, and Burma!"
"Really. Cause you never think of those two as having their shit together."
