The newspaper?

Disappointed with this.  Played like a glum, cynical and depressing 2-hour episode of "West Wing."

"Mistakes happen, but sooner or later, they’re rooted out."

Is that the back of Haley Joel Osment's head??

Is "perniciousness" really a word?

"There’s a smart, funny, observant comedy-drama to be made about the role our romantic pasts play in determining our futures,"

Such great stuff here, Scobias.  The problem is, I can never tell if you're being funny on purpose.

And why is it called Fried Chicken Friday if it's appearing on Monday night?

I thought it was a good cinematic year for Christianity.   "Tree of Life,"  "Of Gods and Men," and "Secret Sunshine" all treated the religion with respect.

I don't see what the big deal is.  She was polite enough to the guys face.  She got caught saying something she intended to be off-the-record.   Big whoop.

"There's something oddly satisfying about the sheer volume of '80s bric-a-brac on display here—the Trapper Keeper folders, the Pepsi Light cans with the peel-back can tops, the vintage soundtrack contributions from the likes of Loverboy, Rick Springfield, and Jefferson Starship."

"the song's protagonist is just a bitter stalker-type that would probably end up with some kind of restraining order against him."

mmm….chicken fried steak.

I remember reading somewhere that AV Club generally reserves "F" for films that are laughably bad, so bad they're fun type stuff.  But the last line in this review makes me wonder.

So where's the Hugh Laurie review?

Wait, did M. Night Shyalaman write this?

If you successfully convince someone interested in watching "Conan the Barbarian" to watch "Cul-de-sac" instead, you've blown your wad.  That person will never listen to your recommendations again.   Just sayin'.

Is it really possible for a tone to be set?  These movies spend years in production.  Unless they're spending mega time on each other's sets in 2009, can Marvel's "X-Men: First Class" really influence "Green Lantern?"

Didn't realize that most metalworkers in Bangladesh were satanists.  That makes more a more interesting flick for sure.

I'll give you a goddam ass hook…
