Tim - I agree with you on ALL POINTS. Thrones going 10 seasons while still being top quality will accomplish something no other show has ever done. Time will tell. Just seems impossible.

That's crazy to compare Breaking Bad to Dexter and Anarchy, two shows that haven't been good in years. BB is on a completely different level. But hey, TV viewing is all subjective.

Nudity and swearing wouldn't necessarily improve Breaking Bad but they could do anything on HBO. Who knows what they'd come up with but everything would be better. It's the difference between a PG-13 movie and an R rated movie.

7 books, possibly 8. They already split one book into two seasons. I think 10 seasons is extremely likely.

That is completely fair, not just anyone can take a great book and make great television. HBO gets full credit there.

Incredible point. The legacy of BB as a tv show is far greater than Thrones - a 10 season show based on someone else's work. They only thing they change is timing of events from the books, not actual story line.

As soon as they started working on the poem together, exchanging long gazes I knew the teacher was dead.

The teacher thing was obvious, I wanted something more unpredictable. Fun season, needs to get much better in season two though.
