I've been hearing a lot of good about The Leftovers around here, I should probably go ahead and check it out. I've been meaning to start in on The Knick too.

Dang, what's up with physicists? Ha.

Even from just reading Oppenheimer's wikipedia a few days ago, it seemed that he had a bunch of affairs, before and after Kitty, including one around this time and at least one mentioned post-war. So the show is pretty accurate on this, it seems. That weird genius- kind of a slut!

That was actually my tentative theory, that he started spying (thankfully it was confirmed not the Germans!) after Sid's death. After seeing how broken up he was about it, and how he acted when Sid's wife came to the hill, I thought that was it. But that's where I got it wrong, seeing him with Sid's wife. When Annie

So I finally finished all the earlier episodes and am all caught up! I really like this show- it's this and Fargo that I'm watching now, and this show needs more comments, for real.

Wait, what? Nobody likes Nixon, nobody. I grew up basically surrounded by Republicans: an early memory that had a lasting impression on me was, while being punished for lying about doing something wrong, being told that when you lie about a bad thing, it makes it so much worse- people can forgive you much more easily

This show is dark af. Forrest is a wrecking ball tearing down everything in his path. During the first season I felt sorry for him because his mild-mannered, reasonable manner and his clean-cut, dimpled looks made me think he got in over his head with the show and is a victim of it, and that he'd finally wake up and

Wait, what? What's wrong with Lucy Hale? She seems perfectly adorable to me, and one of the better actors on the show. Did I miss something?

Told ya this show is getting better. Last episode was when everything fell into place for me and the show leaped forward. I liked a lot of Season 1 (obviously why I'm back), but this year the characters are finally feeling real, like humans would act. Please let the quality continue to rise or stay at this level.

I never get to watch this show until late so I usually feel too late to get in on the discussion, but I feel remiss about that. This show is just so damn entertaining and compelling. An hour even feels too short to me. Although it fills a totally different storytelling need for me, Penny Dreadful is up there with The

This episode was an A to me. I think this may be the first episode to make me really like this show and want to watch the next one ASAP. Every single person acted like a real human this ep, even Joe and "Gordo". I'm really getting into the burgeoning technology that is recognizable as the seeds of our internet too.

Thanks.

Betty is my favorite. I always tried to defend her, even when the Betty hate was at its worst (approx. seasons 3-4), and a couple of seasons ago I realized that I loved her the most and always had. I can't even explain all the reasons, I just do. She makes my heart go out to her.

I love that it was Roger who said that.

That's cool that you caught that, because even before that scene, I was thinking how Pete & Peggy's scene was a visual callback to them in Season 1 (and the end of Season 2), with them sitting side by side on the couch, especially as he chooses to share the news with her after seeing her interact with a child. One of

Good to know. Yeah, now that it's not so late and I think about it, I'm pretty sure in The Yearling the unrelenting mom forced Jody to finish off his deer after she just wounded it and it was suffering (actually, the mom kind of reminds me of Elizabeth- tough and hard because she had to be, though instead surviving

Dammit, Ray-gun, you madman! (via Claudia S1)

Yep. They're all on a course now, locked in.

It's The Yearling, right? Or Old Yeller? But I think The Yearling.

Or like, forced exfiltration to Russia? I'm sure that would be wonderful for Paige & Henry …
