"This is Jon Snow. He's uhh…King In the North" as a response made me laugh out loud.

Euron is such a blatant plot device but the actor and his whole vibe manages to pull it off. Plus that ship with the giant black sails is pretty spooky.
Olenna the absolute legend
After finally hearing it and going through the thread again I think this sums up my thoughts best. Not great, but I like it. "Put Your Money On Me" and "We Don't Deserve Love" are all-time greats and while a couple of the middle songs are kind of astonishingly bad, I kind of enjoy the genre experiments for how weird…
Killers come to Pittsburgh
Oh shit this is fire and I love it
Oh man it's the guy that gets mad for no reason and upvotes his own comments with another account. And I was already enjoying this comment section before.
Yeah, I distinctly remember buying Funeral after the hype reached fever pitch in spring '05.
It's funny that a tirade against Jessica Simpson's dad was kind of relevant at the time. Now that song is like what he's most known for.
I agree, that was my interpretation and I never even considered the other one until every critic got all up-in-arms about it.
Yeah, the increasing space between albums is the most dispiriting thing about this. We'll probably all be dead by the next one.
Reviewers can't seem to decide if "Creature Comfort" is one of the saving graces or one of the worst songs on the album. Pitchfork had very harsh words for it. I love it personally.
Yeah, I won't defend "Flashbulb Eyes" too much except to handwave it away as basically a long set-up for "Here Comes the Night Time." "Porno" I legit love though. That funky, slinky intro, the synth symphony before the second verse, the "love is real, like a disease" part at the end. It's maybe a minute or two long,…
Agreed
Mostly I'm just sad that all the people that love to hate Arcade Fire like it's a competition now have actual ammo.
Reflektor is probably my favorite album of theirs which is saying a lot. I don't really get why it would have turned longtime fans off. "Afterlife" is maybe their single best song, and the title track, "Here Comes the Night Time," and "It's Never Over" aren't far behind. And they're just classic AF emotional anthems,…
Agreed, I rarely feel the need to listen to an entire NIN album these days but these EPs are hitting the spot. It feels like everywhere I drive is a 20 minute drive too which fits perfectly.
Eh, this review seems like kind of an outlier. Everything I've heard has been positive until now.
I actually went out of my way to get the import version with that song and the iconic cover. Not that I feel strongly about the song, I just hate the idea of a finished work changing due to morality concerns.
Payola is sooo awesome. It's funny how it's already kind of dated with its hangups on Obama-era problems though. Well not funny, but you know.
