One of the great things about the battle is how well the geography of the fortress is laid out with all of the prior establishing shots, so that you know exactly where everyone is at all times and what their objectives are. Good stuff.

Glorfindel. Sorry, I had to.

Fuck. So sorry to hear that, Guybrush.

I will ride for MCR until I die

I'm 31 and still wear band/concert t-shirts several times a week. Might be pathetic but I'm going down with the ship.

I waited out a nasty downpour last night with a DFH Beer for Breakfast even though it was late at night. Very good and kind of complex for a stout.

Franz Ferdinand - This Fire
Julien Baker - Go Home
Death Cab for Cutie - We Laugh Indoors
Smashing Pumpkins - Here Is No Why
Wolf Parade - Little Golden Age
Spoon - Was It You?

One of those old-timey onesies with the butt flap

For the first round of 4 match-ups they're doing episodes on Monday and Thursday. Probably the only way to get through the whole thing in March.

I'm in the middle of Lincoln In the Bardo right now, it's so fucking good.

I've been watching Cheers on Netflix and the episodes are 24 or 25 minutes long. So much content lost over the years.

Oh yeah, there were many things that I didn't put together until I was thinking about it afterwards, the bingo scene being one of them which yeah, holy shit. This article had a pretty good roundup of other little things: http://theconcourse.deadspi…

I just said in another comment that I really liked Williams as well,

Yeah, Williams was great. I love when she finally turns and says "You know I can't give you these keys, right?" I had been hoping that she was somehow innocent of the scheme even as it became increasingly unlikely.

There were cheers in my theater too. I actually loved it more the "wackier" it got so that I was pretty much in a state of sheer euphoria by the end. It's early of course but I can easily imagine it being my favorite movie of the year.

Had a Troegs Nugget Nectar at a bar yesterday. Great in the bottle, divine on tap.

MGMT - Electric Feel
Brand New - Jesus
Tim Kasher - No Harmony
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Soft Shock
The Lonely Island - I'm So Humble
Bright Eyes - Train Under Water

Yeah, the ones I have heard sound like completely different songs. "St. Dymphna" is now a rollicking drinking song instead of a dark dirge. I'm into it.

Psyched for Oberst, Finn, and Spoon. Already have Kasher's and it's solid.

I got my physical copy of this album like a week ago surprisingly. It's pretty solid. Well-worn territory for him lyrically but I really dig the orchestral sound and numerous preludes/reprises.

Yeah, I immediately signed up for it but I'm kind of confused as to how the solution to "we're tired and burnt out" became to do twice as many episodes. I thought going to a once-every-two weeks schedule seemed like a good idea.
