Ooh I haven't heard it yet but that sounds amazing. "Where The Boats Go" is my favorite 2 minute instrumental track ever.

I admittedly know absolutely nothing about musical composition or anything, but I don't really see that connection, even though I'd put both of those songs in my top 100 all time probably. "Enjoy the Silence" doesn't have 20 of the most epic drops ever or a saxophone solo, for one.

That extended trailer for Cloud Atlas led to me immediately devouring all of the work of David Mitchell, who is now my favorite author, and also got me into M83, who are pretty fucking great too. Best trailer ever.

Yeah it's a huge year for Wolf Parade and adjacent projects! Spencer has an album coming out in June under his Moonface moniker too. I don't know where they find the time.

I recommend Dan Boeckner's (of Wolf Parade fame) first LP in 4 years with his new band Operators. It's called Blue Wave and it's a dystopic 80s throwback full of analog synthesizers. "Cold Light" and "Mission Creep" are my favorite songs so far.
