Hahaha - Dream Theater.

Jeff Goldblum and Hugh Grant need to have a hesitant ahem-off, if it hasn't already happened. Has it? Let's make it happen!

I just hope they use a real Middle Eastern nation. For some reason, it's a pet peeve of mine when movies/shows/books make up nations (the tiny Middle Eastern nation of Nemen, the tiny former Soviet Republic of Kreblakistan, that sort of thing.) Takes me right out of the story.

"“the image in question in no way intends to mimic, trivialize, or stereotype any particular ethnic group". Except that it fucking does, in every way.
I don't expect to see it on this site, but I bet the comment sections of other sites covering this are full of awesome comments telling "the PC police" to "relax" and

Holy Shit, Pink Floyd is taking The Wall on the road again?!

I wouldn't mind reading the article if you can dig it up.
No, I actually thought Murkami's book was the first use (or at least the start of the recent trend), but now that you mention it, I have heard of the Carver book - haven't read any Carver though.

Interesting point - I know a bunch of 20-something women in Brooklyn (through an ex-girlfriend - her group of friends), and they all have their shit together - stable relationships, jobs, not super neurotic. But they have more "regular"careers - they're not pursuing creative careers or glamour jobs, so maybe that has

I know that The Onion and AV Club are separate entities and everything, but I still think it's funny that there's another serious article about Girls here, and The Onion has this http://www.theonion.com/art… today.

Man, it seems like the "What we talk about when we talk about (blank)" title format is everywhere these days. Who started it? Was it Haruki Murakami's book about running? Anyway, I'm all set with it.

If not, why is that not already a thing?! I demand pirates with steampunk-goggle-style eyepatches, clockwork parrots on their shoulders, and derrigible pirate ships!

"Gyno Trauma" sounds like a procedural show that could be franchised: Gyno Trauma Unit : Los Angeles; GTU : New York, GTU ; Cleveland, and so on.

Just watched the opening credits of RHD on Youtube. Never saw the show, was curious. Point being: The theme song was Deltron 3030?! That's so random, and awesome!

This might be kind of weird, but I always think of Michael Madsen as "evil Elvis". "Evil Chris Isaac" would work, too.

The way he projects quiet menace in Heat is pretty amazing. I'm thinking in particular of the scene in the diner where he just stares that guy down, expressionless. Such a great little moment.

@avclub-4b97b5ad9d466de90e5d901c0557b21a:disqus  My mistake, I meant to say "shit-metal"

Unfortunately, Kurt Sutter seems to have taken everything he knows about the use of music from that scene, so now every action scene on Sons of Anarchy has to be set to a shitty nu-metal song.

Grizzly bears have jetpacks now?! FUCK!!!

The Chemical Brothers and Prodigy are the future!
