Um, it's not the "primary and sole reason."  The primary and sole reason for the Red Wedding is that Tywin Lannister needed a non-battlefield way to defeat Rob and Roose Bolton wanted to be rid of the Starks for good and become Warden of the North, and had no problem bending the knee to the Lannisters to get it.  In A

Oddly, my 3rd time through A Clash of Kings has synched up with the show at several points.  I literally read the book version of that scene on Saturday.  Fresh in my mind and all that.

I though that ep was by far the most outwardly funny.  I was forced into knee-slap-level laughter at several points, whereas before it never got more than a chuckle or a smirk and that's only when I wasn't aiming inappropriate thoughts at Anna Chlumsky.

I haven't finished the article yet, but I have to ask Mr. Author Man how he can say the Greyjoy's disinterest in Winterfell is portrayed better on the show than in the book when that line is taken nearly verbatim from the book?

I'm pretty sure he told her in the book.

Is is wrong that I found the scene where Zoey was crawling around on the floor the hottest thing I've seen on television this week?

When my GF asks me what's going to happen, I'm too afraid the wrong look or tone of voice might give something away so I cover it by yelling, "I know nothing, Jon Snow!!!"

I'm not being daft, I'm pointing out how silly it looks to have to contradict your own point.

I love how in an article about how hard it is to find another way to watch a show besides cable or piracy, you say that you don't need cable or piracy because there are so many other better options.

I pretty much had the same reaction the the author.  It made no sense but I loved it, and speech is just as freaky and mind melting today as it was then.  Also I'm madly in love with Emily Rose, and thought I was the only one who thought JfC's opening titles were brilliant.  Thank you for reminding me of all this.

I'll never understand why critics insist on the kind of coherent arc and narrative momentum in comedies, especially absurdist comedies like the League, found in dramas and other serious shows.  How can anyone in their right mind care whether or not Kevin wanting another baby fits in with his character?

For me, the drop off came when *Spoiler Alert*

Pretty sure Kari just won the "you get to keep your pregnancy breasts forever" sweepstakes.  I hate to sound so shallow, but damn if her hotness didn't increase exponentially because of it.

****GoT Season 2/Book 2 spoilers****

Did you read that part where I said "Obviously HBO added some stuff?"  So Ros isn't in the books, it doesn't change the fact that the books are littered with graphic sex and nudity.  There's one bit of extended nudity in book 2 that they've already said they'll have to leave out of season 2 - so it balances out.

All that sex and nudity is in the books.  Obviously HBO added some stuff, but it was arguably tamer than some of the stuff in the later books.

Ben should read the books; they're definitely not telling human stories in a fantasy world.  They're telling fantasy stories in a world slightly more realistic than Middle Earth, but that's it.  He's going to hate season 2 and beyond.
