Full disclosure: I love Tom Cruise. His public persona is absolutely unbearable, but I could watch nothing but Collateral for the next 5 years and be happy. He pretty much owns it in that one.

I also grew up in Wisconsin, and there are plenty of local jokes that I get where others are probably left scratching their heads. I also grew up during the '70s and '80s, and am constantly thrown off guard when RiffTrax makes a timely pop culture reference.
Agreed - watch it with one or two other people, and then watch it again and play one of the drinking games. You will be very, very, very drunk.
I saw it when it first came out on video and LOVED it - I was a teenager, but I remember her role and she made a big impact on me. I've been a fan since then and I'm really glad that other people know about her! She's a badass.
Oh wow - Rosebud Beach Hotel w/ Peter Scolari and Colleen Camp - almost forgot about that one!
H.O.T.S. and Private Resort are both available for streaming on Netflix. Looks like a marathon is comin' up!
I'm also partial to Losin' It, Private Resort, and the Flamingo Kid (though I don't think there is any nudity in that one…can't remember).
If you're raking the leaves and it gets all over your driveway, just hose it off, dummy!
Can someone please make a video
Of all the instances a character says "There's gonna be another blackout!" and post that link here? I would do it but I'm too busy watching shitty shows that frustrate the hell out of me but somehow keep me tuning in week after week. I'll never stop watching it now that Gaius Baltar…
It did, however, make me pull up the 'Fat' video and watch it for the first time in 20 years, so there's that.
Gotta give The Out-of-Towners some more love. I have a soft spot in my heart for Neil Simon and Jack Lemmon, and putting them together makes me very happy. I also love seeing NYC in the 70s when it was still gritty, so I was looking for Midnight Cowboy as well.
King of Comedy and Age of Innocence are my faves.
Every week I ask myself why
I am still watching this show. This week bored me so much I had to keep rewinding because I was reading AV Club instead. I had to fill in the holes with this recap, and I think I may just read the recaps instead of wasting an hour each week.
This show needs a little Lesbian Spank Inferno.
Hehehe.
Emmett Otter's Jugband Chrimma
I think someone mentioned it above, but it deserves its own post. The dvd extras are great, and it holds up like crazy. We watch it every year. The Muppet Show holds up like crazy, too, but Fraggle Rock didn't for me - maybe because I was a little older when it came out, but I…
Uh - yeah. Also! The posts about Pixar movies being fond childhood memories? What the hell.
THIS is what prompted me to finally register. I remember reading a book in 6th grade that was a fantasy adventure about a printer's apprentice and have remembered the story for years, but couldn't remember the name of the book (keep in mind, 6th grade for me was about 30 years ago). Thanks to the internet, I FINALLY…
Hell yes, Max Dugan Returns! Any Neil Simon movie, for that matter. Fucking love him.
