Screw it, I'm going to say that I want AND love this show

The albums is quite good, but damn does this song just tower above everything else on the disc. Perfect summer driving song.

With so much controversy regarding race and casting in Hollywood, you'd think the producers would not wanna be starting' something by having a white man play Michael Jackson.

I hope that Kanye says "You have distracted from my creative process" with the same power and wrath as Ned Beatty shouts "You have meddled with the forces of nature!" in Network.

Why the hell do these women still hang out with Jessa? I can only suspend my disbelief so much.

Suddenly/Will and Jada/get the feeling/they won't be winning any/Oscars, Oscars, Oscars, Oscars

The comments I've read on this site regarding David Bowie's impact on allowing people to be themselves and embrace their inner "weirdness" are incredibly touching (and, on more than one occasion, tear-jerking). For me, David Bowie served as a waypoint for exploring the beautiful idiosyncrasies around me, primarily in

I love that the most devastating episode of the season also has its funniest scene with Sadie—I'm sorry, Sarah—talking to the life coach,

Between her performances here and in Melancholia, Kirsten Dunst should have a monopoly on roles in which otherwise repressed, slightly odd women become superheroes in chaotic situations.

I guess these actions wouldn't be cliches if they didn't actually occur. Point taken.

Cliche of woman-changing-hair-to-symbolize-life-change aside (seriously, is this done as frequently as I've seen on television and movie trailers lately), this was the best episode of the season. Unexpected, insightful without being preachy, and still funny as hell.

I really liked the portrayal of Alice in this episode, particularly as she was not completely batshit the entire time. In between her anachronistic comedic tastes and kleptomania, she seemed to be able to roll with jokes about Bone-Thugz-in-Harmony and also express opinions about Canada that were somewhat nuanced and

My thought throughout the VMAs: I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't "it" and what's "it" is seems weird and scary to me.

(stands outside in rain, crazed)

As I watched the last scene, I was wondering (and still kind of believe) that Alison and Noah really are not together, and that this whole new soapier direction of the show represents her own internal drift into fantasy and soap cliches as a way of distancing herself from the guilt and sadness of losing her son.

Song of the year so far for me is Sharon van Etten's "Your Love is Killing Me." Also wins the award for the last song you'd want to play for the first dance at a wedding.

In my defense, I'm pretty damn evil.

As impressive as the battle scenes were, I just cannot get behind an episode that focuses exclusively on Jon Snow and his merry band of boring-ass white dudes.

That cover of Beautiful at the end of the second episode was pretty excellent. Anyone know who sings it?

With the exception of last week, this season is turning out much, much better than I had expected.
