Agreed. The show has pointed out how insecure Mindy feels about her sexual history, particularly her being perceived as an "over-sexed freak" even though she's a modern woman entitled to her sexual experiences (e.g. we don't see Danny getting shamed for dating tons of vacuous model types with huge boobs). For Pete's

apropos of nothing, i just recently saw YNB do an interview on The Real talk show and she has lost a lot of weight. It totally could have been a mini character plot point but now we'll never know. Best wishes to her and her family.

which is funny but still weird because they presumably gave Morgan a huge raise when they re-hired him to the practice. It would be weird to think that he's getting paid more than what the DeLauriers would have paid him and is still under the poverty line.

the movie was good; recommend, but several of my fellow audience members-annoying teenage girls, wanted their money back because of the ending

no, she's definitely hot, which makes it even more offensive when people critique her for only dating hot white men on the show. There's nothing unrealistic about the idea of hot educated men being interested in her. Relationships like the ones she depicts on the show happen all the time in real life

bmi is an outdated guideline. it doesn't mean that MK is unhealthy, or needs to lose weight. it's not the most important thing about her character or her as a person, but it still is something that needs to be addressed because hollywood refuses to reflect the actual make up of the country in the media we consume. i

Ok then. For the record, I'm pretty sure we're on the same side, but I'll just back off.

i'm going by bmi (which is an outdated guideline, i grant you). you don't have to be obese to be overweight. anywhere from 25-30 bmi can be overweight, which looks different from woman to woman. She's not unhealthy or unattractive by any means.

Yes, MK is overweight. She said so in her book; I am too. There's nothing wrong with admitting it and moving on.

i didn't word it right. i didn't mean that she shouldn't do it; i meant that she looks great on the show, and it really highlights how needlessly worried tv execs are to show people who aren't stick thin in a sexy light.

not brave as in "no one would ever find this sexy," more like, "why has network television always been afraid to show overweight women in a sexy light because mindy is clearly an attractive modern woman."

he honestly does need the shave that danny mentioned. i want both castellano brothers to be hot, not just one. RIP modern day marlon brando

I get your criticisms, but I kind of love the fact that a show about highly trained professionals has shots of people being undressed in a restaurant or chillin on a toilet. For some the gags are off putting and/or unrealistic, but I rarely have a problem believing that everyone is still a medical professional. I

this

The show plays Danny really weird. Sometimes he's so Catholic he doesn't even trust the new pope, and others times he's ok with eating chocolate off a woman's butt because he's lonely. I think he's a closet freak, but I also also didn't think that he was ok with stripping for money. He got super pissed at Mindy once

to everyone who thinks the show is going at a break neck speed and doesn't focus enough on the secondary characters, keep in mind that season 13 only has 15 episodes ordered as opposed to 21 or 22. They only have so much time to tell a story in 21 minutes.

it might explain why he had that stripper's number on his phone last season though

Or maybe do away with the adjective altogether. "Get your ass over here" works fine for me.

Guaranteed if he did that striptease for Christina, they'd still be married.

ricky ricky, you're so great; if you were older we could date!
