I was waiting for this change to be brought up.  I think it makes a lot of sense:  in the books, LF was dispatched to deal with Margarery only after Renly gets it, but as Renly is pretty clearly toast next ep it puts LF on hand to make the deal immediately.  Except Joff is still betrothed to Sansa, and has to engineer

Also, does the show have the time to describe how much of a bastard the Frey guy is?  Without establishing how protective of his pride he is, the RW won't make a lot of sense.

I'm only half-way through the third book, but doesn't Stannis get an important bastard son out of Storm's End, part of the reason for the siege?  They'll have to bring him back in, somehow.

That's the point, actually.

I read it recently, and I'll confirm what IK said.

Didn't Jaime say at one point that he joined the KG to be close to Cersei, who was then in King's Landing with Tywin, and Tywin was The Hand?

The grains of sand are slipping through the hourglass.

Wow, you've read a lot more into that relationship than I have.  Interesting.

I missed Yoren saying:  "In all my 30 years of taking people back to the wall, I've only ever lost 3".  And then 100 pages later is killed along with most of his charges.

No comment on Vergara's corset she wore in the opening monologue?  That zipper was made of adamantium.

Yes.  He's not strong, but there is an outside chance.  There's a lot of folks still unemployed, and gas is $4/gallon.  Mitt will take Texas.  If he can take Florida too he shouldn't be underestimated.

Girard, I'm with you.  If the benefit of being a spiritual buddhist is that it means you have to "pray" before you do something you have acknowledged is against your ethos, I have no use for it.  I'm sure it made the octopus feel a lot better about what was happening to it.  I think I shall pray for Choi before I eat

Edith also says that she was interested in Matthew, when Mary was showing nothing but scorn.  I think Edith is pretty tired of Mary not having the grace to fall in love with men throwing themselves at her feet, which makes Edith pretty envious.

I recommend not doing an image search on her at work.  Call me naive, but her name didn't ring any bells.

Watched the pilot last night.  I have to agree with much of what was said above: interesting well played premise, that, at the end of the day, became a way to cram two police procedurals into the the time usually allocated for just one.  Ha Ha!  I c wut u did there, NBC!  I'm reminded of Gillette guy:   http://www.theo

Jericho was pretty bad too.  I was so glad when they canceled it, so I could stop watching it.

The counterargument is that his comics might have fared better if he actively participated.

Well, read the book @avclub-4aeae10ea1c6433c926cdfa558d31134:disqus .  It's super fast, it'll take a day with time left over for a bath.

Are you high?  I think I've had this conversation before.  When I was high.

I acknowledge that criticism, but wouldn't you agree that the Watchmen comic characters were themselves able to do things that normal humans could not?
