@avclub-66fae5b05c0f64c4d2bdcdf1ad85f7b2:disqus I thought the Ted stuff, while unfortunate for peggy, I GUESS, was very well done and quite realistic.  He gave into his desires, and you can tell that he is dreading going home after what he's done. He wants to remain in that moment, that time, because he's actually a

Mad men has been very very good with avoiding that, for the most part, and MOSTLY echoing actual sentiments of the era.  The first 3ish episodes of season 1 however were rotten with that shit.  From the kids playing with plastic bags on their head and betty not caring, to drinking smoking pregnant mothers.  It was way

I think she looks just fine but she looks SO different that I legit went on IMDB to be sure it wasn't another actress.

I'm not getting this mysogrynistic vibe.  He's putting on a face, playing the part of the evil imp that everyone assumes him to be, and, to his horror, he became unintentionally to the woman he loved as his wife when they told him she was a whore when he wasn't.  It's very clearly a defense mechanism.

She's almost too good for this show, and her story is by far the least interesting most of the time.

absolutely.  the whole thing seems silly instead of sad or traumatic or whatever, and the imagination of what made him reek is way grander than to see every fucking times he gets messed with.

cold hands would have been better and less cheap and fuck would have not had to be written out but here we are.

Not to mention he literally sends tyrion to dany later.  He holds tyrion in high esteem, and it's not so much as KING that he's saying so much but as hand that I think he would prove valuable, to the future queen of westeros, or even the king.
I think varys thinks it would be pretty fucking crazy at this point that

to the above, yeah, early reveal would be dub because she wont come back for fucking ever, also she's more interesting as a 'things people talk about' kind of chracter than one we see on screen a bunch.  seeing her in the finale would set up dumb expectations in the viewing audience, OR, worse yet, lay out a potential

disagree about stoneheart;  it'd be a copout at this point.  It'd be better to lay the groundwork subtly; have normal people talking aobut the red wedding, what happened to robb, what happened to cat (specifically, being chucked nude in teh rive).  Then wolf dream with her being pulled out, then maybe some more

agreed; early stoneheart is a tension cop out.  also, basically the whole episode would have to be structured around it in some way to make it happen in one episode.

reek reek it rhymes with meek.

It's a lottt of luck, in my opinion.  some of it is knowing to stay fucking quiet and go into defense mode, but she made it without being raped solely because the hound isn't as big of a shit as everyone thinks he is.  Savin starks left and right, that one.

I think, since we actually saw teenwolf, and heard people jawing about it, that it's being saved for side coments to drive in the frey's fuckery again next season.

which is pretty much the point.  It's a shame that people can't be moved by something without hating that it happens, instead of marveling at what will come out of it potentially.

on that note, the stuff with joff and him whore beating ways were pretty retarded and needlessly myogynistic, especialyls ince they were contrived and we are all already pretty sure that joff is a huge fucker without that.

it was def ygritte.  He even tells himself multiple times before it happens that she's a wildling despite what she feels for her, and it'd be dramatically appropriate for it to be her.  If it's not stated outright, it'd be sort of a let down if it wasn't.

It's a dramtic couplet;  he learns the woman he thought was a whore wasn't, and the woman who he thought wasn't as much of a whore as he'd hoped really was.  And his brother brayed him too, the man he loves more than anyone in his family.

Ia gree, though I dunno about shrewd.  She's pretty fucking daft until alayne. But if he's not pressuring her to fuck and nothing bad has happened why not have a stroll and a bit of banter. It's nice to see a scene where she isn't being shit on that's not just with maergery. I don't really enjoy any of their scenes,
