As the author of that article on T&E, I should point out that the episode structure I mentioned is generic to TV as a whole. It's NOT knocking off Awesome Show because it shares that structure, and I don't think Kroll Show "aping." The two have creative similarities but Kroll Show is fantastic in its own right.
