According to Demolition Man, Taco Bell will become a four-star restaurant chain that serves healthy food and has Dan Cortese playing lounge piano. Not a bad place for a wedding.
Another domino falls…it took less than a day for the latest smoking gun. With the entire Trump campaign team implicated in traitorous criminal activity, the ship is sinking faster than anyone could have hoped for.
He'd rather be pissed on than pissed off.
Flynn was just the first domino. Trump is a traitor, criminal and Hitler-wannabe, just like his Republican enablers and neo-Nazi supporters.
1. There was no actual ban.
2. There was an order for extra vetting due to an actual specific threat from refugees from a country where we engaged in a war started by Bush (through the end of 2011).
3. The order didn't even apply to all Iraqi citizens, including green-card holders.
4. The President didn't make…
And cut out the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Director of National Intelligence unless Bannon says it's okay for them to sit in. This is pure evil and madness.
Not the capital-T version mentioned in the Constitution, which is indeed limited to enemies of war, but in the broader criminal sense. For example, crimes that fall under the Espionage Act or Foreign Agents Registration Act.
Whatever you can, whenever you can…it all matters.
Just do whatever you can — whether it's a lot or a little.
He clearly committed multiple counts of treason. Russia is already trying to "plug" the sources of the leaks.
Don't forget: she tried to give us universal healthcare as First Lady. "Get back in the kitchen you corrupt….uh….woman!!!"
Wanda is definitely a lost gem. It's a shame she never directed another feature. There's a great interview with Loden (and John and Yoko!) from The Mike Douglas Show: https://www.youtube.com/wat…
It's a film about a gay black man growing up in a poor neighborhood, so many well-meaning people will want to like it automatically (just as many intolerant people will hate it automatically). And considering what's going on in this country right now, there's even more of a reason to push it into the limelight.
I don't think it's that divisive compared to other hyped films. For instance, Birdman was much more divisive, even though I think it's a far superior film.
As someone who does like musicals and loves jazz, La La Land was a major disappointment. Chazelle wrote it before Whiplash and it shows.
I still don't understand why they needed to retcon the Death Star "flaw" as intentional.
Ironically, my only complaint about Silence is that it wasn't longer. Adam Driver's character disappears for extended chunks of the film, and in one case, it's clear that his scenes were cut to get the runtime down. It was a bit jarring when he reappears but didn't take away from the overall impact.
I finally saw Silence and it was incredible. Despite loving many religiously inspired paintings, poems and pieces of music, I've always been cool to most spiritual films, from Dreyer to Bresson to Tarkovsky, even if I admire the artistry on display. I did love The Tree of Life, but I would argue that its religious…
If we can literally survive the next four years of Trump/Pence — as in avoid World War III — then this embarrassing chapter in our civilization's history may end up being a good, necessary thing. It was the shit-straw that broke the apathy-camel's back. An addict having to hit rock-bottom before admitting he has a…
