The writing was great, but it was really Enrico's interpretation. The character felt very lived in and just by watching him interact with her, you could feel her character's strength came from her upbringing. Another example of how all the little things made that show so good.

Yeah, Shea Whigham was the best part of this episode.

I liked Spade's SNL tribute

When I was 8, my dentist had these in his waiting room. I used to collect them (along with the Shell Answer Books). My theory was "a comic is a comic, right? And these are free!"

'The suspects reportedly “tracked Pokémon players using PokéStops, finding people searching for Pikachu in isolated areas like the middle of a parking lot."'

Not a terrible list - a few missing gems (e.g., SuperTroopers).

I had the album as well and it had some other good songs. That's where I heard Gil Scot-Heron: "The first time I heard there was trouble in the Middle East, I thought they were talking about Pittsburgh" and (quoting someone else) "If you don't stand for something, you'll go for anything." Both lines helped to open

It's a really good piece. The author shows a willingness to try to empathize with people different than himself and to understand why they are (legitimately) angry. We need more of that on both sides.

Not a bad piece. I never was that into Limp Bizkit and I really didn't like the crowd it attracted, but I think the appraisal here is fair…sometimes things that would otherwise be"fine" get more attention than they deserve/can handle.

For me, the best line of the whole movie was his deadpan delivery of "Listen, they're telling me the, uh, the generators won't take it. The ship is breaking apart and all that. Just FYI."

He's terrific - takes on some really unsympathetic roles and does great. But he also has improved some bad writing. I remember feeling sorry for him (the actor) back when I watched Californication. The way his role was so poorly written (especially his dialogue) was one of the earliest sign of how bad the show

I watched Blue Ruin because of the AV Club and it was great. Such a nice, slow burn that revealed itself so well over time. I will put this in the queue.

Octopussy…in which James Bond dresses up as a clown. A fucking clown. It will never get worse than that.

So, thanks for this notice and link. I never would've checked, but I just did and I have a few and signed up for the update list…now as to what they're actually gonna offer….

I disagree pretty strongly - I think that's what the characters thought it was about at the beginning, but I think we've seen that (for just a few examples)

I'd vote for one of the Boltons at this point.

I'm obviously in the minority here, but I really liked that album. I would be excited to see them do "Better" or "There was a Time" in concert.

I agree…are we supposed to think that bottle behind her is chloroform or something? So gross..

This looks so much more interesting. I never felt as positive about Force Awakens from its trailers as I do about this.

I thought that was some April Fools trolling - looking for nerds to freak out in the comment section.
