Not so in Australia, where the best series are on public boradcasting.  In fact the ABC (The Slap, The Straits, Summerheights High, CNNNNN… et al.) is so good that the others almost don't bother.  All local content comes from the ABC and the subsersive stuff, drama or comedy.  The 'stations' are so busy pursuing

I've read a bit about this film and read a lot of reviewers who are disgusted but respectful of style and intent.  It does sound gauche and the reflection of 120 Days seems apt ( I enjoyed 120 Dayas… but couldn't stomach again.  Actually couldn't eat for two days after watching that. 120 Days… will haunt me forever

The AV club is all caught up in the Brian Wilson Americana to give this the fierce welting it deserves.  'Plays around with the arrangements' don't become his fluffer.
