The first complete song is actually "Muskie Moon" - "Valley Farm Song" is track three. And "Wilderness" is a six-minute song; there's just a bonus track at the end.

Also I just read that one thread, and that was unnecessarily harsh, even for the internet. I like Nathan Rabin. This is a good column and his memoir was excellent. "My Year of Flops" is among the greatest things ever to have been. So, godspeed, Rabin.

Perhaps a trifle obscure, but he wrote a book called "The House with a Clock in its Walls" that I never, ever get tired of. There was a whole series, though some of them were kind of formulaic, but the original was great.

I can understand why one might prefer "Blood Mountain" or "Leviathan" over "Crack the Skye", though I must admit the fact that "Crack the Skye" was my introduction to Mastodon may have skewed my judgment in its favor. But yeah, "Remission" isn't quite up their with the other three.
