Wow, dude, you sure know your Mad Men geography!

FWIW, I thought he was great in the role.

@avclub-b1ef00d12df9bd49c8c9718c39df0771:disqus Well said.

Seriously, how can this episode not get a A??? This is the Mad Men I love: jaunty, fun, not too depressive but full of nuance and great writing; all the various wheels and pulleys working together, everything feeling entirely authentic, entirely earned.

Yeah, that line struck me, too. Oh, well, considering Stars Hollow was populated with the likes of Miss Patty and Babette, all things being relative, I guess compared to them Rachel was 'Elle Macpherson pretty.'

I'm not all that fond of either of these episodes, but I'd quibble with Sims' assertion that Rory and Lane wouldn't be interested in the Bangles. It's entirely plausible (likely even) that Lorelai would be a Bangles fan, and given Lorelai and Rory's intense attachment and deep friendship, Rory would certainly be

Ha ha, well said!

I actually find that weirdly hot, but, yeah, I get what you're saying.

This is a bad idea. AMC, don't cheapen (or pander to) the best show on television.

Also, Megan is an actress. In the (very) old days, actresses were considered to be whores. Don's mother is a whore.

FYI, that 'Cougar Town chick' is married to Jody Hill, who directed 'Footfist Way,' that mall-cop movie with Seth Rogen and Anna Faris, and has a production company with Danny McBride.

Agreed!

Having grown up with surgeons in my family, I can attest that that scene was actually pretty true to life (no matter how 'convenient' it felt).

Remember that absolutely brilliant, blistering confrontation, when Betty finally revealed to Don that she knew his identity was a fraud? I kind of wish the confrontation between Trudy and Pete had been that level of explosive (and as well written). That's one of my (few) quibbles with Sunday's show.

I don't think it's fair to say that Sylvia has 'poor empathy.' I think she just didn't know how to handle that situation (her lover's wife confiding in her that she had a miscarriage), and can you blame her??!

That is a really brilliant comment you wrote. Just wanted to say that. (But Vincent Kartheiser, not Carruther.)

"Don would never steal a client like that." I wonder about that, actually. At least as a younger, hungrier man, I think he would. I'm not excusing it at all, but I think a lot of people in that situation would.

The "P" stands for "Pete."

This episode was way, way, way better than the premiere. I don't understand how anyone could even argue otherwise, to be honest.
