You give this a B+, while last week's extremely dull, uneven and almost entirely disappointing episode got an A? Makes no sense, and not least because this episode was fantastic. Agree that the flashbacks were silly, crude and unnecessary, though. But everything else was pretty much perfect - lots of nuance, fantastic

I think you mean, HAMM-FISTED.

She's totally hot. And her Nerdist podcast is a lot of fun.

Melissa McCarthy is in the new Hangover movie?! That depresses me so much for some reason.

Toilet Ghoulash = great name for an early 70s British punk band.

Yeah, I really don't get all the commenters reading so much into the Bob character. Is it maybe because of the BOB from 'Twin Peaks'?

Your Six Feet Under analogy is weirdly appropriate. It does feel sometimes (especially on Sunday's episode) that this show is merely spinning its depressive wheels, without moving at all (or, if it is moving, is slowly inching backward in quality and insight).

'Clunky' is actually a pretty good description of the episode as a whole.

I agree. I found last season disappointingly uneven, and overall quite weak, and then Sunday's episode was, as you say, really boring. Did this really need to be 90 minutes? Why? Agree, too, that Betty has overstayed her welcome. And why, for the love of God, do they keep adding new characters to the staff of SCD? The

Actually the lame fist-bump joke merely served to demonstrate how unnaturally red Parsons hands are.

Time for Amy to break up with Sheldon and date Stewart, who would at least appreciate her.

If you had posted that comment a year ago, I would have argued with you fervently. But now I very sadly have to agree.

Wow, that was a stupid episode. Fortunately, I read the review first, so I was expecting this to be bad, but it didn't benefit from the low-expectations thing; it was still really BAD. The writing was appalling - the lame premise, the jokes (or lack thereof), every scene, the lack of a resolution - and this time the

Same here.

Each time Logan called Rory 'Ace,' a part of me died. It was just so annoying/obnoxious, and didn't really ring true. And I've subsequently become something of a fan/defender of Matt Czuchry's in The Good Wife (in which I think he is excellent and almost criminally underused). But Logan didn't work for me at all.

@Thats_Unpossible:disqus Well said!

Yes! I couldn't agree more. Absolutely, the best scene thing ever! And has Melissa McCarthy ever been more adorable!

Just bring Sal back. Even if it's for one episode. Even if it's for one scene. America needs more Bryan Batt!

Likewise, Mike & Molly looks and sounds like a sitcom from 1991. (Some might say 1951, but I'm somewhat more charitable.)

@avclub-01855f0cb9a656fa40d4b59ae484a8ae:disqus Genius retort! Made me laugh out loud.
