I'm not a JT fan but I also don't really care about this one way or another.  That said, wouldn't it be funny if you went to Jay-Z in 1999, 2-3 years into his recording career and told him he was going to do a stadium tour with the dude from 'N Sync?

but this doesn't answer the question that is actually important which is "what did people TWEET WHILE they were watching it???!!!"

I can't remember if she takes any of the blame.  She definitely calls out the studio a lot on their marketing of the movie and interference of the script.  I think she also says that she never wanted to make the movie in the first place and that she was basically trying to create a violent live action cartoon, which

Don't people always say that the band Spoon is so consistently reliable that it actually ends up being a detriment.  I feel like Soderbergh is the film director version of that.  Maybe that's why he's going away.

"Uhh, not as much as I'm worried about Gretel."

The Punisher: War Zone episode is fucking phenomenal.

I know it's not exactly the same thing…but the line about using old Harrison Ford as a "framing device" led me to a general observation/rule of thumb:

as a master baiter myself, i really appreciated this question: One review of the song says, “Frankly, it’s refreshing to hear an unproven artist take risks with material that, historically, is subject to derision.” Do you think this song is risky?

i thought i remembered the last one ending with an "up next" that never came

what happened to "hip hop and you do stop?"  i like this column but that one was one of my favorites.

Wow, that was surprisingly spot on. I never knew I had similar taste in TV with Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

Johnny Ryall is the bum on my stoop
I gave him fifty cents to buy some soup
He knows the time with the fresh Gucci watch
He's even more over than the mayor Ed Koch

I'm not really sure either as I was 10 in 1990.  However, I do remember the late 80s being a very gnarly time as far as fashion goes.  (Far more embarrassing then the early 80s which seemed more of a natural extension of the 70s.)

Is this a show where costume, makeup design, etc does not actually reflect the time period that it's in?  I can't tell from the previews.  80s style has not aged particularly well (although some parts of it have come back in fashion.)  I've noticed that many TV shows in particular don't want to trade in on the

Love Tusk.  (The album as well as the song.)  The album is slightly overstuffed but contains a bunch of classic Fleetwood Mac sounding tracks as well as a bunch of weird shit you wouldn't normally expect.  (My favorite of the latter is "I'm Know I'm Not Wrong.")

Since it seems that most mainstream and/or "indie" artist are copping some sort of electronic or keyboard-oriented sound these days, I guess that's going to be what "dates" the early 2010s.

I actually kind of liked Congratulations.  Especially that 12 minutes song.  (Can't remember what it was called.)

It was Winter 2002-2003.  I remember now because it was first semester senior year in college.

Yeah, A Rush of Blood to the Head kind of owned my winter of 2002.  (or whenever that was) What the fuck happened?

holy shit, that ny times article was awesome.
