This episode was everything "The Rebel Flesh"/"The Almost People" should have been.

Gotta disagree with Alasdair here, I thought this worked perfectly as a one part story. The episode moved at a brisk pace, but I never lost the plot. The whole thing flowed together beautifully, there was genuine horror for what felt like the first time in ages, and Capaldi turned in yet another series-best…
Incredibly surprised by the positive review. In my opinion this film was almost a complete rehash of the first Alien movie with just enough Prometheus thrown in to appease the fans but otherwise thrown out the window in a way that cheapens all the best parts of Prometheus (and yes, there were many good parts of that…
I could have sworn it was something more complex than that. Well, there's a really simple fix for it when they come back next season: Just say that Rittenhouse has figured out that they're going to be overthrown at some point in the future, so they want to go back in the past and change whatever events will eventually…
It's been a few months since the season ended, so I don't quite recall, but wasn't there at least *some* justification given?
Count me as one of the people who actually thinks the Rittenhouse arc needs to stay. The show can't just be random running through time periods constantly with no reason for it.
I don't think I've ever been more irrationally pissed off at this website than for the fact that they didn't let Allison Shoemaker write one last goddamn Timeless review.
I still think you've got too much faith in Paul Ryan and the rest of his ilk. Calls for impeachment will be deafening from the Democrats, but I truly think that nothing, absolutely nothing, will ever make the party turn on Trump, unless indisputable evidence of treason surfaces. And even then most of them would…
That would have required someone realizing that Rip Hunter is actually the most useful and productive character in the Arrowverse, and not some piece of dead weight to be written out at the earliest convenience.
Wrong, "The New Rogues" was the best episode of this season, but this is probably second best.
Your argument for the inevitability of a Special Prosecutor sounds very convincing and reasonable if applied to regular people, but here's something you have to keep in mind: Donald Trump could not give a fuck if he tried about looking bad. He literally does not care what the news is saying about him as long as his…
You mean the GOP obstructionism of the Obama years that proved obstructionism will actually work and get you what you want, because the world is apparently just that fucked up?
So it's being said that Schumer and other Senate Dems are heavily weighing the option of basically shutting down the Senate via a series of procedural moves to stop the day-to-day activities. As Vox describes it, a very extreme, nuclear version of going on strike. The rationale, if they were to implement this course…
Not everyone. BJ Britt is great, but Brett Dalton makes this entire show better in every episode he's in.
We can only hope. If there's one thing I want them to get accomplished anymore, it's this.
Agreed, the character dynamics and interaction were so damn perfect that this deserved at least an A-. I think Alex is reserving the good grade for the finale though (still no excuse, he's been needlessly conservative on grading this whole season imo).
It's a really subtle but great when done well kind of development when a supporting character can start out as a total asshole and over time become an ally to our heroes that you're genuinely glad to see pop up now and again.
Also, it must be said: I deeply resent the fact that James Comey has been fired, but on the other hand, *fuck* James Comey for being a goddamn fool and giving Trump an excuse for which to blame this firing on that isn't even a lie. Literally the worst part of this is that he was fired for something you actually should…
He's done an admirable job playing against type on this show then, if you consider Heroes his usual kind of role.
Anyone wanna start making bets about what Schumer's morning meeting will consist of?
