I trust Mattis and McMasters more than anyone in the entire administration. That is to say, they are, quite literally, the only two people I trust in the entire administration. If I end up regretting these words, so be it, but I don't actually think they're going to steer us that badly on foreign policy.

Syria is obviously the top priority right now, but there should be some discussion about the death of the filibuster as well. I didn't think I had any respect left to lose for the GOP, but I lost it anyway when not a one of them stood up to this bullshit. Even McCain voted the party line, for all his meaningless

The thing that will keep Syria from becoming another Iraq in my opinion is that the Iraq War was started under false pretenses and blatant lies. Saddam didn't do 9/11, there were no WMDs, it was all falsehoods. In Syria, we're not blaming Assad for anything he didn't actually do, and there actually are some goddamn

Don't feel bad, my good dino. I too feel very conflicted for thinking this is a good thing. And as much as I try to look at all the angles, I still think that this was the right thing to do. I'm not in favor of using deadly force against foreign countries unless in exceptional circumstances, and this is an exceptional

*John Simm Master comes out dancing to "I Don't Feel Like Dancing"*

Except she is literally growing older by the day. I suppose they could always throw in some line about traveling on the Waverider giving everyone temporal molecular stasis so they basically don't age, but that would feel weird.

"You guys can have the Waverider II, it's the same as mine except I get to keep my girlfri—I mean, Gideon."

The individual goals they had within each Season 1 episode were nearly always met. In the pilot they had to stop a nuke from going off in Norway, they succeeded. In episode 3 they disbanded a cult devoted to Vandal Savage. In Episode 5 they prevented the KGB from creating their own Firestorm. In Episode 8 they

I'm not aiming to insult you (the bonds of Grimm shall not be broken), but I think all fans have the right to react the way they want.

Believe me, I hope you're right. Consider your words marked! If Rip isn't back within the first 3 episodes, I shall find you and… give you a stern scolding, I suppose…

People around here don't like to hear it, but in her tenure as Captain she's screwed up more missions than Rip ever did during Season 1.

They undoubtedly sucked, but seeing as how a huge portion of the Legends fandom incomprehensibly seems to think Rip sucks too, and these producers tend to give the fans everything they want even when it hurts the show, I'm not feeling good about his comeback chances.

Right, like how Guggenheim and Klemmer said that Kendra and Carter would be back every so often in a special guest star capacity. I won't be holding my breath.

As the world's biggest Rip Hunter fan, I have to say that I would have vastly preferred they kill him off instead of this crap. They took the easy way out and just wrote him off the damn show. I feel like they forgot somewhere along the way that the Waverider is Rip Hunter's ship. He's the only one who knows what the

To be fair to Jared, Golda Meir could most likely kick all of our collective asses.

Republican LGBT people have got to be the picture they put in the dictionary next to 'masochism'.

Leave the gays out of this!

Good. I know the filibuster is going to die, but I've made my peace with it (I'd be first in line to jump up and down in celebration if it somehow survives because a few Republicans grow a spine, but I'm not holding my breath). We knew this was going to happen sooner or later, we might as well get it over with now.

I like the second half on paper a lot, because of the pure Greek Tragedy angle of the son falling down the same hole as the father despite the best efforts of all concerned, but in execution it was… lacking.

The second half of The Place Beyond the Pines had the potential to be absolutely spectacular, but it just didn't have an actor half as strong as Mendelsohn to anchor it.
