i appreciate the aesthetic of early polygonal graphics. tomb raider, star fox snes & 64, silent hill and banjo-kazooie in particular all still look great to me. good art design stays good, regardless of texture clarity and polygon count.

wind waker is beautiful. the triforce chart hunt towards the end dragged the experience down, but it's still my favorite 3D zelda.

majora's mask has some of the most striking images in any game i've played. the MOON, the mask transformations, the alien abduction, the whole introductory chase sequence. and it's fun to fuck around with all the masks. i liked clock town a lot.

"strip away the neon visuals"
but, um. aren't those kind of the point? not that i've played it, but it seems like a 'smoke weed and enjoy the pretty colors' type deal.

weirdsville
was pretty entertaining. zany drug adventure w/ satanists. bentley and scott speedman had good chemistry. also they are both really hot.

Akira, Antichrist, House, Silent Hill. Anything Miyazaki, Cronenberg, or Herzog.

no way was that salvia she was smoking. she just seemed like someone who hadn't smoked much weed before. no one smoking salvia for the first time could bust out a nicki minaj verse so effortlessly.

i liked the book okay
mostly i just think the maguire's land of oz was really fascinating and well thought-out. i can't see them including much from the book in an adaption of the musical, though. oz in the book was one creepy fucking place.
