I love Jane Eyre because it was the first 400+ page book I ever read and had a big impact on my taste and interests as a reader.

I initially read "incredible" as "inedible."

I also share an office, and have been crying in the public bathroom and in the car to and from work.

Littering is like the absolute most annoying bullshit thing that everybody does.  It is 100% unnecessary, bad for the environment, and makes everything look disgusting.

I always write cursive but at some point after learning it I modified a whole bunch of my cursive capitals to look like print letters.  G and S were two of them.  It was a huge mistake.  I think I'm past the point of being able to consciously change them back.

Just got back from the most lackadaisical trip to British Columbia ever.  Now catching up on work, so I won't be around here much today.

I think the message board would end up being its own thing, but I would take my TI-type posting there for sure.

I am terrible for pining for people long after I should no longer be pining.  It's always such a surprise the first time someone breaks through that.

@avclub-6beb5f589a9fd04c21fcd50db3d9c80c:disqus   That sounds pretty ok.  I didn't mean to make it sound like I think you're doing anything wrong, by the way!  Just pondering the question in a broader sense?

Oh my God.  So sorry :(

My Threadless shirts that I ordered at the beginning of the month arrived at the post office yesterday and I'm going to pick them up after work.

It is handy for seeing that some scary person has looked at your profile, and then blocking them.

Offline Dating/Romance Subthread:

I have two.  You can have the spare.

I spent a day in Montreal with a Belgian girl who was staying at the same hostel as I was.  We had a fun time and at the end of the day I had no idea how to say goodbye to her: handshake seemed cold, hug seemed too warm.

I have divorced parents but no divorced friends, and I've never heard of a divorce party, but the idea makes me uncomfortable.  I think it might be just calling it a "divorce party," which seems to trivialize something that's pretty serious, even if it is overall a positive thing for a person.  Hm.. I think I need to

I'm single so it's a non-issue right now, but the big family thing is something I occasionally worry about pre-emptively.  I think the whole immediate family wedding plus cross-country wedding tour sounds like an intriguing way to get around that..

I have this as more of a guideline, because occasionally I stumble on something like The Quantum Thief or The Magicians where I don't know that there are more books associated with it until the end.

Hm, as a reader who generally favours simple, direct language and despises convolution, that doesn't really seem like my cup of tea.  On the other hand, I'm now intrigued enough to attempt it at some point in the future.

*sigh* Story of my cosplay life.  I might have to finally cave and get contacts for costume purposes.  Ugh.
