SCALPED. SCALPED. I cannot say "SCALPED" enough to anyone who is willing to listen.

Basically this. Venus and Dead Girl felt like piss poor Edie substitutes; it especially felt like Guy was just accepting Venus as an alternative to actually shooting himself in the head, and she was foisted on us with a similar sense of. "Well it's this or nothing!"
Yeah, 300 is probably the turning point for me too. From that point forth, we got the cranky fascist/racist uncle of the Internet that we've all grown to know and love and hate today.
Yeah, I read a bit more during lunch and am still not loving it. Tony-that-doesn't-talk-like-Tony squandering the prospect of space adventure being trapped in a metal tube is just shit.
Yeah, I think if the rest of the Starjammers continue to appear, that'll be a point in its favor.
I only read MM in dribs and drabs. Pretty good stuff. What do you love about it?
I used to own "The Frank Miller Spider-man Collection," an oversized hardcover with his SSM stories. Only worthwhile for a Doctor Strange story. Because Doctor Strange is the shit.
See, I wasn't a fan of the Knauf run. Didn't play up the smoothe playboy/brilliant technologist/obsessive drive to succeed that I love about Tony. While perfectly passable, the Knauf run would have made a better Captain America or Black Widow story in tone and artwork.
These feelings extend to the teen Cyclops book for me (See below.)
Does Tony sound like Tony to you, though? He careens between being a touch-too-witty to telling P.E.P.P.E.R. to "SHADDAP."
I picked up the most recent issue of Amazing X-Men during that trip, and the first part of World War Wendigo really spoke to me more as escapist fun than Cyclops; could be my prejudice against the teen X-Men shining through.
ALSO. This post goes out to my dear friend Cheese.
Wow, people are really reading my favorites this week.
Yeah, Land can draw machines (though I'd be curious to see how many of THEM are swiped), but whenever a human's face pops up, the art is just fucking gross.
What are your favorite Iron Man runs besides Gillen? Maybe we just like us some different perspectives on Tony.
Seriously, is anyone reading and enjoying the current run on Iron Man? I need to know why this wasn't smothered in the crib.
What did everyone read this week?
Yeah, that went a long way toward winning me over. I'm gonna run down to Forbidden Planet during my break and grab these Cyclops issues. Let y'all know how it went next week!
They haven't declared for sure that Superior Foes is ending yet. BUT the most recent solicitation is 14, which declares it "the penultimate chapter." Trade volume 2 goes to 15.
You sold me. You better not have fucked me on this, Cheese.
