Okay I'm sure I'm going to get annihilated for this, but… Community, Parks & Recreation, Louie (ESPECIALLY Louie), Party Down.. they all seem like the characters are just having a conversation. Hell, even Friends seemed more naturalistic than Happy Endings or Cougar Town.

I've really tried to get into this show, but to me, it has the same problem that Happy Endings has: the characters all talk AT each other, not TO each other. It reeks so much of "scripted banter".

I highly recommend School of Languages' "Sea From Shore" - it's David Brewis' solo album and it's fantastic from start to finish. The iTunes version has two excellent bonus tracks, as well.

Great album. If you like that, seek out Rob's earlier band, "Heavy Vegetable". Very similar to Thingy (or should I say, Thingy is very similar to HV)
