Yeah, but I'm talking about *money* and *time*, not adoration. Marketing support requires a lot of both, and Miles gets it where a lot of other titles don't. That's not because editorial likes him better, it's because he's a well-established flagship character, and frankly doesn't need the help. Bendis and Miles

Yeah, but only one of them was really racist.

That's not at all what I meant, and I'd be happy to elaborate if I'm not getting my point across well. What left you with the impression that I was relying exclusively on how people feel about him?

As stated downthread: Miles Morales is a) part of the Ultimates universe, b) been around for far longer than any of the other books, and c) gets the kind of editorial and marketing support those other titles can only dream of. Miles is at the center of so much of this summer's huge events for Marvel it would be

Like Nibbles guessed, I was specifically talking about comic book movies.

Well, I bet you also haven't seen members of the Carol Corps sending harassment and threats, but they do. *shrug* You don't see all of the internet, and quite a lot of it is private harassment. If you click through to the link I posted and read some of the replies (including my own) you'll see a lot more.

Not sure why you think that the target demo for the MCU is white dudes. The audiences have a lot of women in them and as Fast 7 just proved if you make a good diverse movie women and POC will show up in droves.

The entire first arc was exclusively about motherhood, be it Jubilee and Shogo or Storm and her daughter or Rachel and her mother. That's a pretty damned insulting way to approach the very first ever all-female X-Men book.

The first three issues were really rough, but the first major story arc is about Starfire and her sister and their complicated relationship. Pretty much everybody who lambasted it only looked at panels from or only read the first issue, which is fair there are tons of books I don't pick up based on the cover. But I

Miles is at the center of so much of this summer's huge events for Marvel it would be impossible to have them

Convergence is only 2 issues for each of the miniseries and the overall Convergence title is only 8 issues. It's a collision of multiple universes, but all signs point towards going back to New 52 once we're done, with a couple of additions. For example: Batman #40 is the end of the Endgame story arc and is coming

Awesome, when are you gonna come pry the nightmares about Hexxus out of my head?

Yup, you're right. I clearly have not had enough coffee this morning. Thanks!

Yeah, but it's historically accurate, in terms of the root of the idea. Pacifism doesn't preclude self defense.

Yeah, but particularly when you go across books it's an issue. There's quite a few characters in Young Avengers I couldn't tell from characters in WicDiv if you threatened me with Brevoort monologues.

Aaaannnd I should know better than to drink coffee when reading your comments. Ow, my nose.

I feel like he's got a lot of same-face problem. If weren't for costuming and color, I'd have huge problems telling the characters apart.

If you get a chance to get your hands on Tynion's work on Batman Eternal you may really enjoy it. That's where the Selina as mob boss plot started, and Tynion's been doing a lot of my favorite stuff lately (including his work on Red Hood and the Outlaws). Doesn't hurt that he's one of the only (the only?) out queer

I'm SO glad you're reading Catwoman, too. Every once in a while the art goes sideways, but overall it's such a great book with such an interesting take on the character.
