Walt Jr. is a box! DAMN YOU, A BOX!!!!!

As I mentioned elsewhere on the thread, Wolf Muser had a role as German professor & zoo administrator in a full-motion video adventure game in the mid-1990s. One of its most difficult, abstruse puzzles involved splicing together snippets of tape recorded conversation with him in order to gain access to an animal cage.

Also, the company's full name is Madrigal Elektromotoren, and not whatever the German equivalent of "chemical company" would be.

This. I think Hank seems like a heroic character on the show simply by virtue of his contrast with Walt's accelerating depravity, and because he partially fills the void Walt leaves as Junior's father. But the Cuban cigars really exposed some of his hypocrisy , and there's also the way he casually throws around racist

Don't know if this is mentioned downthread or not, but I thought the writers were making a comparison between drug pushers and food conglomerate chemists with that cold open. Especially the bit about using 2.2% less honey and making up the difference with high fructose corn syrup, basically the equivalent of cutting

Mid-90s adventure gamers may recognize the Madrigal CEO as Herr Doktor Klingmann from Gabriel Knight 2. Ah, the salad days of FMV in video games.

Right, and that's what I'm saying doesn't make sense. Proving fraud would have taken no time at all — there were hundreds of witnesses to the theft of the broker's keycard.

I thought it was a very good movie. That said, one more nitpick to add to the pile is that the stock exchange heist used to ruin Bruce Wayne was completely implausible. The fraud would have been pretty easily proved and the exchange would have just "busted" the trades, i.e. reversed the transactions as if they had

Oh wait, I see what you're saying, that there's a 43 percent change that the sequence will not have two *adjacent* repeated numbers. In that case we'd need to look at the odds that at most 1 number repeats at some point in a sequence of 9, which I think is 0.9 * 0.8 * 0.7 * 0.6 * 0.5 * 0.4 * 0.3 = 0.018 = 1.8 %

I get a less than one percent chance. 0.9 * 0.8 * 0.7 * 0.6 * 0.5 * 0.4 * 0.3 * 0.2 = 0.0036
