I highly recommend playing Rock Band with one's kids, as I did with my 10-years-younger sister. Fun, social way to expose them to all kinds of music, plus no profanity if that's an issue.

Hmm. Whatever objections one might have to the Flaming Lips, I don't see any argument that they're putting out the same record over and over. Their post-Embrionic noodling has left me generally cold as well, but I remain hopeful about this one as the next "real" record.

"Next to Last Song," Dancer in the Dark

Fair enough, and I agree that a wholesale director nom or picture win would taste funny. THAT approach to the show's big single, however, is worthy of commendation for Hooper and recognition for Hatheway. I think it will outlive the hype.

I don't know that one can really miss THE true purpose of any part of The Master, as I've heard many wildly different interpretations of every scene, often assumed by each speaker to be the most obvious, intuitive and truthful interpretation possible.

The main visual difference is less motion blur—while there are methods available to simulate the more "cinematic" blur of 24fps, it's a taxing digital effect that would be much more involved than just removing half the frames.

Ah, cool. Great job Wes and Cole!

I gotta say, your initial comments on Oscar Homeslice were easily the most gratifying fuck offs and insinuated death threats I've ever received :)
