Pretentious? I don't know, I like words, personally.

Daydream Believer remains a truly great pop song.

I never figured out if this was a novelty account or a real person.

    Awww.

Exactly. When people espouse the virtues of vinyl, I always ask why they prefer it. If they can say something about analog fidelity, I applaud them. If they say it's like playing dress-up in retro clothing, then I pop in my headphones and listen to some fucking mp3s.

I watch it for a menially paying recap gig. It often runs two hours or more, which is when I really start to question whether the $10 per article is worth it.

Honestly, that sounds awful. She would read the story with a super dramatic look on her face, as if this bedtime story is truly the most powerful collection of words ever assembled and she's honored to be a part of it, and then she'd tuck you in like it's a contractual obligation.

Flaming Lips, I love you, but please go back to writing songs. I love your songs so much. I do not so much love all-day jam session commitments.

In other news, FX picks up Billy Baldwin's "Gone With the Wind."

This headline conjures images of Adele warding off a zombie swarm of good-looking guitar-strumming suburbanites for Jesus, decapitating them with a machete and singing a soulful, slightly bitter ballad about how they betrayed her but she's better off now anyway.

He is. Batman Begins fixed rubber nipples, Arkham Asylum fixed shitty gameplay. Both were leaps forward that are now eclipsed by their sequels. The analogy works fine, both sets compare across media while the commonality is improvement over past iterations. We're good here.

I am going to play that song on Rock Band today. It will be glorious.

    Adaptation.

Boooooo I want to love this.

Aw man that sort of just ruined the song "Human" for me, I always saw that as a song about amicably parting ways with religion.

Honestly, looking at the A.V. top 5 of that year, Wolfgang Amadeus Pheonix has aged by far the best with me.

    Quirky with a sparkle.

    What?

I love Adaptation, and think it's a good example of how Nick Cage can be great when working with the right director. The performers in Synecdoche and Hope Leaves the Theater could be brilliant in their sleep, Cage and Black are far less consistent.
