God, I love that movie. I don't understand why it is not talked about more. The car chases alone. I mean, to film actual cars just chasing each other seemed so novel even in 1998. Cars driving fast. Who knew?

I didn't like Tattletales either as a kid. Mostly because the whole monitor system was clunky and I didn't get the whole premise.

I love David Mitchell and seek him out on any panel show I can find. I do wish Hulu would add more QI episodes. I like the show because it is a little edifying and often hilarious. I like that British people appreciate good wordplay and knowledge (though I detest puns).

I wonder if Baldwin said yes and demanded, besides the cool mil for his wife's charity, that the set and everything be largely the same. I think one of the reasons the show succeeds is because it's a lark for everyone, the music and cues are the same, and the set is merely updated but otherwise unchanged.

Richard really wasn't drunk? That has been part of game show lore since I could remember. He was supposed to be completely sauced on Family Feud. The idea was he took himself seriously as an actor and felt demeaned by the knowledge that he was only known for Hogan's Heroes and Match Game but still had to make the

The publishers of the DSM hadn't quite figured out everything was a mental disorder back then.

Wow, really? Next to, "Hillary Clinton will not be charged," I cannot think of anything more surprising this week.

Tony Randall captures it for being in the Winner's Circle and the clue was "Things Made of Cotton". I recall he said an Oxford shirt. I don't remember the others. But the contestant was getting nowhere and he says, "Aspirin bottle packaging".

I always liked the theme song for Scrabble.

Read Rupert Everett's bio. It is in every chapter.

Mine was "warm".

@midnight is more in the British tradition of panel shows. While not a good comparison, think about QI. The show exists more for the panel to be clever than any type of winning or losing.

Actually, no. The term does not exist in French. In French, if even used as it is more of an English locution, would be maybe double sens and even that is clunky.

I said the same thing. The cues and music were essential. Baldwin is doing this because they gave his wife's charity a million bucks. And for ten games they probably taped over two or three days tops. But I will bet you dollar to doughnuts that Baldwin insisted the music be left alone.

I was surprised how closely the announcer matched Johnny Olson. So much so I had to recall he was dead.

Oh, the Joker's Wild, I loved that show as a kid.

Actually, ABC gave his wife's charity $1,000,000. This is more or less a one-off. And it was done in a way he is not embarrassing himself. So far the panel is about half 30 Rock regulars. Also, it was probably filmed over two or three days. It is a ten-week show. So, a million bucks to placate his wife and two days of

I loved Match Game as a child. First all, it taught me the double entente. I was always a kid who was into reading and words so to be five and hear these odd things and realize they were jokes was of immense value to this precocious kid.

I'm just happy Tim appears to have nice hands. Nothing worse than a pic of holding something and it looks like crows pecked at their nails.
