I watched Olympus Has Fallen because it was on TV. Gloriously terrible/10. Best bad movie I've seen in a long time, even down to the bad CGI. Can't wait to watch the sequel when it's on TV in 5 years time.

Yes, the Steam Summer Sale is probably timed to coincide with summer.

I'm genuinely surprised no US cable network has picked up where G4 left off by broadcasting the E3 conferences.

Dunno. I think Jurassic Park has more universal appeal than Star Wars

Welp, so it looks like Jurassic World beat The Avengers to take the biggest US opening weekend with $209m.

Jagged Little Pill is 20 years old this week so I've spent the past 2 days listening to it and digging up old Alanis Morissette live performances on YouTube. It turns out that I still really like Jagged Little Pill and Alanis Morissette's live performances around its release were fantastic.

I really, really can't stand Yoshi's Island. I think its mechanics are legitimately awful. I think it's a genuinely bad game that would have been forgotten if not for the Mario connection and the graphical style, and even its graphics aren't that impressive.

NBA Finals Game 5 might limit its Sunday grosses.

Jurassic World is on track to have the 3rd biggest opening weekend of all time, only behind the two Avengers films. Anything that big pretty much has to appeal to every demographic.

Is there an article about Fury Road's production issues? I'm curious as to why it took so long and cost so much.

I bet Disney is a little concerned about Inside Out next week, as I doubt they expected Jurassic World to be anywhere near this big. Jurassic World has the potential to suck the air out of the box office for weeks, much like the first Avengers film did.

In a way, it's kind of incredible that Community has lasted long enough that people are happy to see it end, given that it has been on the verge of cancellation every single season.

I'm just tired and frustrated of hearing the same old complaints about GSN. I'm not saying GSN is great or anything, but I have a lot of sympathy for them because they're in a tough situation. Their entrenched audience is incredibly reluctant to watch anything recent, they skew older than the sun and commercial
