Truly useless trivia: the black and white train station is Wellingborough station in England.  It is located almost halfway between Nottingham (the place with the sheriff from the Robin Hood stories) and London (NBC's the Olympics).

I would have thought explaining how Danish politics are similar to American politics to help an American audience unfamiliar with them is very much relevant to a Danish TV show about Danish politics.  You can certainly disagree with my claim of those similarities, but the relevance is palpable.

For what it is worth, there is also an Anglo-French remake of Bron/Broen/The Bridge in production too, with Stephen Dillane (Stannis Baratheon) and Clémence Poésy (Canal+ says she was in Harry Potter) as leads.  It will be using the Channel Tunnel between Britain and France as its border point, you can guess the title.

Episode one of the second series of Joking Apart is my favourite ever sitcom episode.  There have been many better constructed and meaningful episodes, but nothing has made me laugh as hard as that one. Even on repeated viewings when I know what will happen.  It is just a perfect farce.  The whole series is an all

"Not pretty at all"? Crikey. I wish she was, for me she is the best looking woman on television to the point it is distracting.
