I forgot the future didn't really change… And it lines up with the finale: with no season 3, no one to stop Darkseid!

Does the future Impulse comes from indicate that without his intervention the Light's plan would have been overwhelmed and the Reach would have actually conquered Earth? Also Darkseid don't share power with no one. Would have been interesting to hear Savage's justification for that alliance.
