Exactly. Tastes looked older then her birth mother. I hated it from start to finish.

I agree with Myles. It was lazy, and who does the wigs for this show? Tastees, Linda's and Piscatellas wigs all deserve a review of their own.

The structure worked for me Myles, I was glad to have the review right there when I wanted it. Thanks for your work. While you were more generous than I would have been - I think at least one episode deserved a D, and I would have given a separate F for the "horror sequence" - I appreciate your reviews.

Finally someone admits that Leo is a character actor and not a lead.

I feel bad but j can't stand that theme song. Maybe if they got someone to do a remix or another version, like Weeds "little boxes"

I also think they humiliated the actress, the wig was ridiculous and she doesn't look 20 years old - and I don't think she should, I think they should have written something better for her.

If it hasn't been said already, Yoga didn't want them outside because the open door made them all vulnerable for a riot in case there was a surprise raid. I think that was what you were asking, Myles.

She pulled a gun on Sophia's wife when Sophia was missing in the Hole.

I totally agree with the writer here. There is a history in American films of white characters condescending to black characters. Or black characters only seen through the eyes of white characters (Cry Freedom, anyone?)

They want June to be heroic so we won't feel depressed watching her.
Making her spunky means that she can be around for several seasons and Hulu can make more money.
It's gross.

Yes!

Amen

Actually given what happened with their spokesperson - it may be someone's idea of irony.

I think that Atwood sold the project, and had to trust Miller's vision as an "artist". She also had to trust what would be right for this generation. The sad thing is a lot of these compromises I think are based on the fact that they are dragging this out for an extended series. It's weird, it's like someone took

Allison, thank you for this review. I may not watch HMT next season. I'm exasperated with the choices the writers are making. Did they really read the book or just get cliff notes. Beautiful moments are either too short or missing. Where is Offred's mother in flashback? Where is the scene where she sees her

You're amazing, Storm. I loved that you began with that quote.

Agree Adrian, 100 percent.

The whole subplot is ridiculous. I feel like the showrunners bought the cliffnotes for the book but didn't read it. Everything in the episode after Luke got shot was misguided. An overturned ambulance - why was he even in an ambulance in the first place - if they gave a damn about him they wouldn't have shot him.
