"What kills a skunk is the publicity it gives itself. - A. Lincoln" is I think what it said. The "kills" is hard to make out but the rest seems to match this quote. It's attributed to Lincoln all over the internet, but I'm not sure when or where it's from if he did indeed write or say it.

The murderer has set up footage of the empty study to play while he murders his victim, and then the he sets the murder to play in front of the guard while he's away at a party.

I'm not sure about the cure but I think Silas is probably a good old fashioned necromancer, and we're going to be seeing necromancy-style zombies pretty soon.
