These guys are playing at Ear X-tacy in Louisville soon, for those of you who live in the Big K. Check out the alt. rags for more info, since I don't actually no when the show is.

Don DeLillo's White Noise
You never saw supermarkets the same way again, and I never saw a family eating a bucket of chicken the same way again. Fuckin' hyenas, I tell ya! Ruthless.

I wish he would have budged.
I can understand why he didn't offer up the directors who fucked up their own movies, but man, I wish he would have told us anyway!

Awesome.
Is the DVD of the full series out yet?

Erra
It reads "listenng" on the main page link.

Thanks for the primer.
I've stayed away from Jay-Z because of the commercial ferocity he displays. It's probably the same reason I've stayed clear of Kanye West as well. Sure, I've heard all of the singles, but I will have to give him a try.

It's definitely you being old and all.

The video is dead!
Ahhh … Tyra's mercenaries have eaten the footage.

Who did Britney have sex with on staff?
To get a B+? She should really take all of her money and hide, buy an island like Mel Gibson … or go live in a country where no one speaks English and she can appear on TVthere, if she really needs to feed the monkey.

Awesomest
When a show creates a cosmic rift in television fandom, where people are either extremely for it or against it, I think you've found some comedy goodness. And the interviewer described it best as "post-punchline" comedy. Who needs one?

You've obviously lost your mind.

I don't have to listen to Neil Young, do I?
I mean, I want to join the club and all …

Glad I could make just one person's Friday that much happier. Time to drink some beer.

A-
"What the fuck is wrong with you?"

Good thing …
I've never seen Monster's Ball, and am I one of the only people who finds 21 Grams a bit overrated? Babel, as well, for that matter. I was a big fan of Amores Perros, but seeing these newer Inarritu (I have no idea how to create special characters for the accents) films, I'm scared to rewatch it,

So …
I'm guessing only Gyllenhaal did a good job here or was given much to work with? Because for some reason, I'm interested in seeing how Witherspoon grows into a leading lady (if she does).

Yay!
Hooray!

Heh. Well, if it's any consolation. He's talked about going through and revising the books, where he'd probably clip, trim, and fix. I can't say I'm a big fan of post-release revisions ala George Lucas, but I will probably read the new versions if he writes them, hoping for the best.

I feel like King is retreading ground lately, and that's disappointing. I think there's a convenience for him to make things implausibly supernatural, but it tends to derail his books because he doesn't know how to stop. Lisey's Story hooked me for a second with the hint (SPOILERS AHEAD) that her husband had split

I worked at a warehouse where people would pull into the parking lot blastin' whatever the latest rap CD was, and when I pulled up blasting "Transdermal Celebration," I got a great compliment from a guy who pulled up alongside me:
