Hear hear! The second Stumptown series is home to one of the best comics car chases I've ever seen, but do seek it out on paper for the optimal effect (you'll know what I mean when you see it).

I haven't seen the Tekkonkinkreet anime, but my first exposure to Matsumoto was through the first US collections of the manga (aka Black and White, first serialised in VIZ' Pulp anthology), and I fell in love with it straight away. But I agree that Sunny is his apex, and a fine place to get started as well.

Max Overacts is pretty darn amazing. It's pretty sad that such a skilled cartoonist is just barely eking out a living from his art.

Companies streaming content without releasing viewer data to the public don't need ratings or other such quantifiable criteria to label their shows as hits. Outlets cutting and pasting press releases (like the one you linked to) don't care about the statements they parrot being provable, so why should Amazon's

The first two episodes of Sirens were really funny and very well put together, with plenty of reasons to check them out beyond the bits in the trailers. Although the jokes are there, the show also succeeds in creating a world you want to hang out in for half an hour every week; which is crucial for a comedy like this.

Thanks for the app overview! I'm confused, though, when did crying daily become a French stereotype?

Admittedly, it's what was on last night, but is anyone watching Suspects? It's on Channel 5 in Britain (and the internet). The bloom on the novelty rose has started to fade a little, but it's still one of the most intriguing and invigorating takes on the case-of-the-week-no-workplace-drama police procedural I've seen

Zach was played by Devon Gummersall, another dependable "that guy", probably best known for another role on a show about emotional young people; Brian Krakow on My So-Called Life. I also remember him from an extended guest run on Roswell, and, of course, as Lisa the male lesbian on The L Word.

* Zach's RA and his self-serving threats aside, this struck me as a pretty ideal ("ideal") fictional depiction of an acquaintance rape case. The writers managed to find a way to let the whole process play out with plenty of different perspectives in the mix, conveying a lot of practical information without the

Of course they do. Modern Danish is basically English spoken with an accent.
(note: this "joke" will only be funny to Norwegians, who find their Southern neighbours' rampant use of English loan words to be hilarious)

It wasn't? The three I caught ("brudgom", "forlover" and "kagesmagning"), though delivered in the mangled way you'd expect an American to pronounce Danish words, were all real terms used in the proper context. I can't speak to the supposed world-renown of Danish weddings, mind.

I guess. With a roster as expensive and deep as City's, the injury excuse becomes less valid, though.

* Two very solid episodes for Scott Speedman, this. I think the show is stronger for leaving Ben as something of a cipher at this point. Even if Felicity talks a lot about his lofty high school status, just about everything we know about Ben (aside from his messy family situation) is from her perspective. The fact

Is there any chatter over there about Remedy not showing up in this top tier? Has it bombed in the ratings? I have absolutely no insight into the business of Canadian TV, but it seems like a reasonably high profile (and high budget?) show.

I think it depends on how safe Pellegrini feels his position with the owners is. The way football has gotten these days, the optics of a quixotic, spectacular defeat might be worse than slinking out of the competition with a solid 0-0.
Still, Barcelona have been spotty enough in defense (and in general) this season to

Right? Like @bhauck:disqus says above, Zac's mom's varied collection of symptoms does make it a bit hard to figure out what exactly is supposed to be wrong with her, but if it does turn out to be bipolar disorder, I'd say Switched has handled it the best, thus far. I like Romy Rosemont, though, so I'm all for seeing

The IMDB page has it as "Zac". The young man's name is Julian De La Celle, and I also found this picture, which makes me disappointed at his more pedestrian haircut on this show.

Bear with me, I've never done one of these before…

David Lambert's eyes when he plays angry are something to behold, a little too crazy for the part, perhaps? Still, he has a future as a screen psycho, I'm sure.

Is it a coincidence that you're starting this while The Americans is on, by the way? I think it's going to be a real pleasure watching these two Russell performances in parallel.
