I don't know why I want to throw this suggestion at your hypothetical screenplay, but I think J5 would refer to Bin Laden's unit as "hardware."

Whoa, whoa, whoa. A spoiler alert would be nice.
Soul Asylum's fourth (and best) album came out three years before Nevermind. It's a bit of a stretch to lump them in with the grunge boom bands.
Actually, your mom. Obviously.
Agreed. The first one was probably the most fun I had in a theater in 2010.
they missed a hell of an opportunity when they passed on candleboxrox.com
First, this story is pretty awesome. Second, I remember Candlebox's follow up album Lucy being pretty good, but I can't really remember anything else about it even after looking up the track listing. So I might be wrong. Third, the story would have had a much happier ending if you had sex with her senior year.
"Easily the worst of the grunge boom bands. Almost as bad as Bush."?
Thanks for the input @Close-watcher, I was not familliar with those stories. Not sure why I shouldn't psychoanalyze someone who died before I was born though. Especially a writer who's primary goal was to fundamentally reverse the nature of how we view ethics. I may not be the best person for the job, but it is not…
@avclub-443461f22c379e8d6c249374e586581e:disqus I see what you are saying, but I'm really looking at a pattern of behavior/values. Being artistically inspired by the individualism of a serial killer is not the worst thing anyone has ever done on it's own. If anything I would consider it amoral. But if you look at the…
@avclub-ee1045860c39a31099716796dc47b4d0:disqus the context of the scene explains the rape-like description to an extent, but within the context of Rand's career the scene is equally disturbing. in Atlas Shrugged she describes the first "love scene" between Dagny and Hank as "like an act of hatred, like the cutting…
Here's hoping the library of old titles is reasonably large. Living near a large city pretty much guarantees my ability to see new titles if I put forth minimal effort. But opportunites to see classics in a theater are few and far between, and something I really enjoy when I get the chance.
That was just me rambling, but Film School Rejects had an interesting editorial on whether it even makes sense to talk about "liberal Hollywood" based on the reality of Hollywood as business.
It is odd that they would shit on movies that are being marketed to the largest audience possible. To complain about propaganda is one thing, but Hollywood is selling a product and they are incredibly good at recognizing the demands of the free market. Perhaps the lesson from a decade that saw the release of…
There is a difference between a liberal political message and a kids movie that promotes sharing and responsiblity.
I remember the transformation scene in AWL making me feel nauseous the first time I watched it. So did the make up effects on Jack. Come to think of it, all the effects work and horror scenes in that movie are pretty visceral experiences for me. And the story hits me pretty emotionally. I demand more articles…
"Oh boys! I think he's come back for his noon feedinnnnnng."
I've watched it multiple times without going out of my way to do so, which makes me think I spend too much time watching TV. Though to be honest, I really enjoy it every time.
It Came From Beneath The Sink was much better.
Thanks for bringing up herd immunity, MS. It also has to do with protecting people with compromised immune systems who can't get vaccinated as a result. Beyond the bad science linking autism with vaccinations there is a much more offensive moral issue. People who choose to not vaccinate their children because…
