ZING!
We’re meant to hate the character for being so competent, and for being so nice in the face of J.D.’s internal frustration with him, and this is definitely an episode where being inside of J.D.’s head frames our perspective of the character (especially given the large number of fantasies in the episode).
***SPOILERS***
That was kind of a stretch, but I felt like the show's writers recognized it wasn't working, and swept it under the rug kind quickly.
Fair enough. Kendall, at this point in the season, definitely seemed suspicious to me, though you're right that there's no evidence of a motive. Maybe I'm projecting future suspicions onto her - the plot is going to get very difficult to follow, and the sequence of events is somewhat exhausting.
It's a really tough call, but I think this is my favorite episode. A+.
Oh, come on. You're barely trying.
Yeah, these two episodes were plot delivery devices, but as standalones they left something to be desired. Hey Rowan, how come there's no women on your list of possible big bad suspects?
Yes, "con" in Latin is "against."
Unless you want to be able to stream music that isn't in the iTunes store…
I know the show is called Chuck and not Morgan, and we have to let our hero be a hero at the end of the day, but I feel like from a storytelling standpoint, it should have been Morgan saving Chuck from that fire, not the other way around.
Sometimes I wonder whose call that was. I mean, did the foley editor put those beeps in there? Or was there a director looking over the editor's shoulder going "Why isn't it beeping?" while the editor winced?
It's true, Google's not used to selling things to consumers. I'm a big Google booster most of the time, but Amazon has made their mp3 marketplace so accessible and easy to use that I honestly don't see myself shopping on Google music, even though I stream from it constantly. So yeah, got me there.
Why do they need $2000 to get people to write celebrity fan-fic?
Well sure, I use the Amazon mp3 service frequently too, but what about the 10,000 some-odd songs I downloaded or ripped to my hard drive before Amazon even started selling mp3s? What about the few thousand or so that aren't even for sale on Amazon, either due to licensing issues or because the artist isn't signed?…
Ah, yes, but not the bandwidth to stream it.
You're right; the store itself doesn't have any exclusives worth writing home about.
Happy impending birthday, @avclub-fbca7c48c185890bd31f538b91ba5fbb:disqus! We were born in the same week!
Yep. That was the song that was #1 on the charts the day I was born. I shudder to think.
